Wow, very powerful excersise. Like you said - it's nice to play songs and all, but let's not forget about the basics. Thanks a lot, I'm going to add this to my routine, it definitely will help me improve my playing!
I sure would give the world to have more country song options. Especially the classics... I'd also love to see a good tutorial on Havana by Camila Cabello.
I noticed your rt thumb follows the fingers down the strings and seems to rest on the string above the string your fingers are playing. Interesting Tech. Thank you for the lesson!
Hi Marco I love this exercise it’s just what I need. Can you tell me on my tight hand, do I use my thumb to start as I go up the fretboard and start with 3rd finger as I go down or is it the thumb both ways to start? Thank you 🙏
Another way to the 1-2-3-4 pattern, keep your fingers on the fretboard as you move the 1 finger to the next string. The point of this exercise is to keep your fingers close to the fret board the whole time
I tend to use my chording hand to hold up my ukulele which involves mostly using my thumb or palm to holdup the ukulele up as I move down or up the neck. I'm not entirely sure how to utilize my chording hand properly, but I am noticing that the chording hand is not supposed to use any effort to hold up the ukulele at all to help you play, so how do you keep the ukulele up as you play?
A good player for sure. I don’t understand what fingers in right hand plays pattern. It is not just the thumb? I always like to know what ukulele is being used for my next purchase?
I have been practicing playing ukulele recently, and I had this problem, that if I hold a string with my index finger and release it,then the string makes sound, even though I don't want it to happen. Can someone tell me where I am going wrong ?
Marco will you please make a tutorial of the songs from a famous anime series your lie in april? Please accept my request I'm dying to play those songs on ukulele
@@MarcoCirilloUkulele then are you skipping the 4th string only because a high G will make it sound weird along with the other strings? Thanks for these videos-- very useful indeed.
I do this every day on my guitar. Just got a ukulele, so, this is a great plan.
This Leftie appreciates your tips...I get to practise via mirror image as I had my strings reversed. Cheers!
¡Gracias!

You’re definitely my favorite ukulele player. Do you write the songs you teach? Like the Spanish ones and all those?
Learning this was transformational for me. I notice you rest your thumb on the string lower than you play, and pick with fingers 2 and 3. Very cool.
Yes. I always had that! It helps get rid of the resonating noise of the strings :)
Can’t thank you enough for your contribution…….🙏🙏🙏god bless you and your family.
Marco thank you! Fingers have a mind of their own unless you teach them muscle memory 💪!!
Thank you indeed!😍
Welcome!
Kind of cool. I’m going to give it a try..👍🏽
Please do!
I make an effort to learn something new everyday. Thanks for today's lesson!👍😎
😊This video is awesome,thank you.🎶
Enjoy :)
Super well Explained. Step by step and nice and slow. 😊
Thank you that is such a nice thing to do for us uke beginners!
That is brilliant, love it, thanks 👍.
Thank you for your in-depth explanation of this exercise. Gail
I love your lessons! Could you help us understand how to make each note a smooth transition to the next instead of sounding like individual notes?
Thank you for this tutorial. Just what I was looking for. 👍 will be adding this to my daily exercise routine.
I'm ready for the next level. I'll practice this. Thank you Marco.🦋
Gracias Marco!!!Thank you,so much!⭐👩🌾
I learn ukulele and english from you. Thank you 👍
Thanks for sharing the idea❤
I am really getting a lot out of this exercise, and i loved your calm relaxed vibe. Can you tell me the reason why you keep each finger held down?
Hi Bella. I keep each finger down so I can stretch them as much as possible. I hope this helps.
I sure would give the world to have more country song options. Especially the classics... I'd also love to see a good tutorial on Havana by Camila Cabello.
This one is fun. Thanks
You are such an EXCELLENT teacher!! Thank you so much for this and your other videos. Best wishes! (Liked and Subscribed).
Such an awesome content! Thankyou ❤
Totally chilled now👏👏👏
How about explaining right hand fingering..I use my thumb..is that right or wrong?..thanks again..
thank you so much It helps me a lot
I will definitely give this a go! Thanks!
Amazing. Thank you!

Thank you Marco. Simplicity at its best.
this is really useful.

I meant right hand sorry for typo
Just want to thank you for the lesson. I enjoy with this channel.
Thx for this! Can you help with the right hand? What fingers are you using?
THANK YOU
I have to take a break from guitar due to reasons and cant carry it around, these are great as ukulele is easier to carry around
Thank you very much sir for this tutorial.very informative.

Jérôme from Françe, it's a very good vidéo...
I'll try
Thank you
Brooo u look like Superman😊😊
Thank you! Great exercise, reminds me of piano gammas (гаммы in Russian), not sure about the term in English
Which finger should plug the strings? Can we include Thumb as well...?
thanks for this
I like it as the Pizza and pasta 🍝 exercise..👍🏽😀
A good player for sure. I don’t understand what fingers in right hand plays pattern. It is not just the thumb? I always like to know what ukulele is being used for my next purchase?
you can also use a part of the flight of the bumble-bee !!
I put tenor strings on a baritone banjolele. Problem is that the A first string breaks before I can reach the proper pitch. Any suggestions. Thanks.
Your my favorite 🤩
Great exercise, thank you.
Why no live fur the G string? We can include it, but you don't, why?
Probably because it breaks the up and down flow of pitch
This is morning coffee ☕
Great :))) thank you!!!
but what are you doing with the strumming/plucking hand? I cannot tell
Can you do this while standing without a strap? I feel like holding the ukulele limits my left hand.
Great exercise! Is that an electric guitarlele behind you?
is there a reason we dont include the A string?
Please talk about the right hand too!
Can you do a tutorial on Little Willow by Paul McCartney please ?
Had no idea Dexter was into Ukulele
Why do You finger 1 string with 2 fingers? Is it specific for Ukulele?
lodi from PH. SALAMAT
Do you take online classes??
I have been practicing playing ukulele recently, and I had this problem, that if I hold a string with my index finger and release it,then the string makes sound, even though I don't want it to happen. Can someone tell me where I am going wrong ?
Had this myself .. lighter press on the string and consider lubing your fingers ,, or use string lube
I honestly don’t think I’ll EVER get fast doing these things!
Playing fast has nothing to do with this exercise. The 1234 exercise is mainly used to improve your left hand position and control.
Would you mind explaining why this excercise is supposedly "highly effective" and why you think that it`s worth investing my time in?
You can call it pizza, pasta!!! That made laugh loud!!! 😅😅😅
lol
Yooo master, make some melody for Halloween plzz
Marco will you please make a tutorial of the songs from a famous anime series your lie in april?
Please accept my request I'm dying to play those songs on ukulele
Yes please
I’ve been doing the pizza- pasta exercises but I still can’t lose any weight
You should try the salad exercise instead:)
Pizza 🍕😃😃
😊
Excuse me sir, why not play all four strings?
I think because the top string is not a low G string. It would not sound good when you move downwards to the bottom strings
You can do it if you have low G
@@MarcoCirilloUkulele then are you skipping the 4th string only because a high G will make it sound weird along with the other strings? Thanks for these videos-- very useful indeed.
This is nice but can you do it a bit slower I can’t get it duh and also multiple times thanks
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Don't get the strum pattern☺️
Chromatic scale!
👍❤️🙏
Please go back to high G. I cannot find log G strings available to buy in my country and have been skiping all the videos with low G tunning. :(
Small exercise, whole 12 minutes. Too much talking.
And yet you manage to NOT mention the right hand while explaining left fingers.
