Great video man, I 'm a big fan of pink films, most people outside Japan have never heard of them and probably won't see them due to censorship which is a shame, subbed.

Interesting. I love Japanese films, all kinds, Kurosawa, Ozu, Ishii etc. I loved Ishii's Labyrinth Of Dreams. I have never heard of this director, Koji Wakamatsu, I will try to watch one or some of his films. Thank you.

This was really interesting! Something made me think about Wakamatsu earlier tonight, and I've only seen one film of his (Go Go Second-Time Virgin, some time around 2005-2007) and gave his name a search and clicked through to this. I definitely wasn't expecting to hear a Manc accent hahah.

You say he is a rebel of the genre but when i read the synopsis of his movies, a lot of them have rape and abuse in it, I've never watched any pink films so i can't judge the context and portrayal, but it's seems very disturbing that this is so common in these movies, i wonder if it's really art as you've mentioned, or is it just gratuitous for shock value, something prentending to be deep by using sexual abuse, that's so wrong if it's the case

Which movie by Koji should I watch first?

I would personally start with Secrets Behind the Wall; however, if you are more accustomed to extreme cinema, then I would go straight for Violated Angels.
