4:10 G-1000/the pants are neither impregnated with wax nor are they waterproof. You have to to do the impregnation yourself with Fjällräven wax and heat, then they become at least waterresistant.

I thought they came that way from the factory and you needed to do that after you wash them? Good to know.

Great review!!!! I have to say I will NOT but these due to no back pockets, Really bad design Big problem for most hikers .
