There are three things I've always admired about your videos.
1 is the creativity you have, both in layers, weapons, symbols (like the scriptures on the skirts of the devotees, I thought it was very creative) and so on
2 is his way of telling stories, the poses and ideas of lore that are very harmonic and cool
3 are the faces, man I love the expressions you make. These first two minis are great examples

Not sure if it was intentional but in the bishop model it almost looks like the zealot is looking at the dagger in her hand which is a really nice detail

i like the idea that the king only ACTS like a bumbling fool, while knowing exactly whats going on and who in his court are assets and/or betrayers. and hes just playing a 5d chess game waiting for the right time to destroy all his enemies in one fell swoop. lol

Damn, a 33 minute video full of unique and well made but semi generic models, with links shared for us. Derf really is a treasure
Since this is a very much over-simplified version of a faction derived from my own worldbuilding, there are a lot of symbols which loosely connect here but in my own brain have a lot more lore and consistency behind them than might be apparent at first glance
The various crowns, from the spiky one, to the simple one to the Royal-Guard shoulder one is because they're technically different splinter groups from the same empire which all share the symbol of a crown but with different variations
Since holy magical weapons are a thing as well, there's a reason why the Royal Guard, the King and the General all have a 'Sword' on their outfits - though I opted not to make such a sword for this build even if i was tempted to make a model with a turbo-holy runeblade - this is also why I attempted at first to put a hammer tattooed on one of the Zealot's foreheads, since the Paladin model has one of those holy hammers, but it turned out to be too large and I had to scrap it
Ofc the obvious example is all the red scriptures, which is a recurring look for the zealous 'Faith' models
Then there's the eagle-wings, which are consistent between all the Aristocratic models or people who are members of said nobility - the Lord, the Duelist and the General all have them
And this wall of text right here is why I leave most of the deep lore and explanations out of the videos, because I want to make them more digestible - but there you go! :D
@@Derfholm that makes quite a bit of sense actually, ty. I haven't really made like, an army for any of my worlds nations. Probably going to try and go on a binge after this and make at least a handful of knights with this in mind

@@Derfholm Could there be lore deep-dive videos once in a while? The worldbuilding videos give a taste of the wider worlds, but it would be nice to have a more detailed and structured (chronological) look at them as I'm fascinated by what you create.
I understand if you want to keep that sort of thing on your discord, but having a lore video on TH-cam would make it accessible to more people and have the added benefit of you talking it through.
@@oddnerd7278 Honestly most of the lore-relevant things I've posted have been on the Reddit - I am not so certain that the widespread audience of my TH-cam channel would have that much interest in the """"deep lore"""", but you aren't the first to ask so I could definitely consider it

I have a God OC who has a lot of Lion/Eagle symbolism and a blue and gold color scheme and so I am choosing to think that these zealots worship him. They probably don't, but it's my headcanon, I like to imagine them just doing the absolute most to worship him, and he just has no interest in paying any attention to them at all

Invisible model glitch + a familiar
hi does anyone know what the import option on gear does? I'm not sure if its a glitch or just for me but on hands in gear it has an import button but doesn't seem to do anything??????

I'm afraid I don't use the import gear much, so I can't quite answer, but thankyouthankyou for the kind words!
I think it allows you to import a pre-customized familiar.
If you have a small enough familiar then it let's you import that so your character can hold it

I'm sorry to say that even if you did submit elsewhere, you wouldn't receive any votes outside of Discord, which means you wouldn't quite be competing in the first place :(

Invisibility glitch + familiar - granted, it's a lot buggier with the new familiars than it was even in its old buggy state. It took a while to get it right. I also had some help from a fellow in the Discord called "COVE1" who was good at figuring out the kinks of the glitch, so I could get straight to the Cat + the Helmet
