Ich bin Wartburg 353 Pilot seit etlichen Jahren und finde: Erik Carlsson ist der große Hexenmeister des 3 Zylinder 2 Takters! Hut ab und THUMBS UP FOR ERIK
I am indeed an Aussie, from Hobart. But this car and Mr Carlsson are both in England. I hope your Dad gets it done as it's a wonderful sensation driving an old stroker like this.
ah man... started watching saab videos because i own a 9-3 and i gradually went back on the history of the saab and found the two stroke cars, and was kinda thinking maybe it was natural for me to have gotten a saab, considering one of my other enthusiams is working on two strokes. Funny how that works!
Come to America and see the REAL car, not the replica! Eric Johnson found it in Minnesota and restored it! Eric Carllsson confirmed it was the REAL car Eric J found.
When Erik won monte carlo he was the only driver who used the brakes and the throttle at the same time , i remember that the brittish had a extremly problem to compete vith Erik because they drove like gentlemen ! ;-P
R.I.P. Erik Carlsson
1929-2015
You made the Two Stroke your own!
Goodnight, god bless.
Fascinating! I just bought a mint South African 1960 93F here in Canada and found out that Carlsson signed the owner's manual.

Je viens de visionner cette vidéo en hommage à Erik Carlsson.
Repose en paix, Mr Saab!
A great and plucky car. I had a 93B than a 96 in my college days. They were always faithful and true through those miserably cold Chicago winters.
Borxoi86 Swedish enginering ;)
We don't choose Saab, Saab chooses us.

Lovely sound! Vila i frid Erik Carlsson - Rally legend
Erik - the master!
Rest in peace, Mr. Saab.

Rest in peace ;(
sounds like my yamaha 700 triple snowmobile :p
I met Erik Carlsson when he came to South Bucks Motor Club in the 1960s. Not the nicest guy in the world. His wife however was a real lady.
SAAB should have stuck with the two strokes. :)
The FOV is messed up!
well you could always take a normal 4 stroke v4 and put a saab 900 engine in
you kidding me? you never replace a 2 stroke saab engine with anything
var dom saab 96orna bakhjulsdrivna eller framhjulsdrivna?
Front wheel drive...
Why dream?
これや、絶対に今の排ガス規制は通らんな。
essentially the same motor . come from same company
No, no.
Replace with R40 oil.
Car looks great...but exhaust sure stinks...replace with Toyota engine now!
