Carlos D la juridiscción de un aereopuerto no tiene que ver si está en la capital , la OACI es quien asigna los códigos, le da un distintivo alfanúmerico para poder identificar aereopuerto alrededor del mundo, aunque el aereopuerto está en Carolina para el concepto de identificación se usa la letras TJSJ , nada de esto tiene que ver con politica. Por ejemplo el MUHA es un aereopuerto de Cuba, la localización exacta de ese aereopuerto es al sur de la capital, Ranchos Boyeros, cercano al pueblo de San Antonio de los Baños. Para efectos prácticos y reales nosotros si somos un país, sin soberanía pero lo somos. No se esa confusión de si somos o no somos.

The C-5 makes a very strange sound. I like the 772 with the old chrome livery, I still wonder how the 77W would look in AA's old chrome livery...

The C-5 is just incredible. Hard to believe that thing can even get off the ground.
I think American is using some Boeing 767s and some Boeing 777s to fly from Chicago O'Hare to San Juan and from Dallas-Fort Worth to San Juan.
C-5 got 2nd place for shortest takeoff. Surprised it beat the 757's but I bet it was empty.
Nice and clear video, I am just a 15 minute drive from where that C5 Base is in West Virginia, love this video. My favorite Aircraft ever is the Lockheed L-1011, wish they were still in the air.

que privilegio ese lugar desde donde tomas los videos...me encantaba ir al aeroparque pero...me gustaría hacer spotting pero no creo encontrar algún lugar público seguro.

Thats bcoz TF39. Modern C5's have changed from TF39 2 CF6-80 series due 2 which they sound no more awesome.

I think I know SJU runway 8 pretty well, they shortened it a bit, but the 777 rotation had to be at about 4ft, not even at half point. Runway is now about 9.8. I used to be 10k even.
Actually, the runway used to be 9,783ft. & now it was increased to 10,000ft.

I think you have it backwards! Check AOPA, but it doesn't matter. I used to work at TSJS during my college years. I was working at SJU the day the Concorde visited us, I believe in 1976.
Pregunta seria, la localidad del aeropuerto LMM es San Juan o queda en jurisdicción de Carolina? Porque para mi que es Carolina y yo creo que sería el único país (depende como lo veamos políticamente) donde la capital no tiene aeropuerto internacional. Puede ser que me equivoque.
Carlos D El aeropuerto queda en jurisdicción de Carolina, pero debido a que Puerto Rico (en mi opinión y viéndolo políticamente) no es un país, no creo que lo de la capital que no tiene aeropuerto internacional le aplica.

Que Puerto Rico no es un país y que es un reguerete de gente ? Un país o nación es un territorio con características geográficas y culturales propias, que puede constituir un Estado soberano o una entidad política dentro de un Estado. El que fuera invadido y ocupado militarmente no le quita que sea un país o nación.
Muy bueno video. A mi me gusto mucho el despegue del C5 Galaxy.
