It's something I feel both relief and gratitude about, that there are many people who live their lives dedicated to the care of domesticated animals. We've made them dependant on us over the course of many generations, and they deserve our gentle care, time and patience. It's not just getting the job done right, it's doing right by the animal as well. ❤
@@mjrussell414 He said, "When I was young, I thought bad adults were bullying horses. However, I realized that it was the professional care of the farrier."

I hadn't realized this was a Korean farrier (I assume?) while watching but I did notice there was a sort of 'gentler' style to the process? I might be misunderstanding what I'm seeing but things like placing the hoof down gently, letting the foot rest on the ground while applying the paste or earlier when shaping? the hoof it looked like they clipped less and filed more, like in my uneducated viewing it kind of looked like leaving the final shaping largely to the file where other farriers seem to remove excess with the big nail clips in pieces? (comparison not intended as value statement but just noticing different approach to the solution) I'm curious whether I'm seeing a different stylistic approach to the work or whether its just the specific needs of this particular job/horse required this kind of handling?
Weird seeing the differences between hoof care in the West vs East; in the west it's usually clean out the hoof, scrape to the pith, check the frog, nip out the bars (if needed) and trim the hoof edge. Finish dishing out the hoof and cleaning the frog *then* the rasp comes out. I dunno if I have seen the rasp used so early in a trim before.
If you meant on the frog surface, I think you'll find it was blue stone crystals aka copper sulphate. As for the filler used, I'd like to know what that was.
What was that greyish stain on its hoof? Looked like a burn. What was that thing that looked like plaster you applied? And why do you put on the horse shoe when it's hot? Isn't it painful?
the horseshoe is put on an area that cant actually feel pain, kind of like really thick fingernails. the heat doesnt transfer through to anything that could be hurt by it
