I can't explain this, but Keith and Josh are similar personalities, different font
This explains it perfectly!
I think you explained it perfectly!
It is like how he has opposite spectrum personalities with jonny cakes on trolley problems over on 2nd try. 😂
One is bold, the other is italic.
Why is this so good😂😂
Being Nigerian, I really wish and hope our cuisine can be more recognised. Africa in general really isn't on the map in terms of a lot of cultural discussion which is really unfortunate because there's so many incredible similarities and differences with cultures from all over the world that people just never really pay attention to in regard to Africa especially. Videos like this make me genuinely happy to see.
Out of curiosity, how well did Josh do in representing it? Did Keith get the authentic culinary experience?
oh! Only if I have a way to try your cuisine! I would really love to! It looks so tasty!!! Sadly, we don't have it here in the Philippines!
My naija brotha
Same. We need more nigerian fast food places across the globe
Hit me with your favourite Nigerian dish! My partner and I cook each other a new kind of meal each week and I'd love to make her a delicious African dinner.
As a Nigerian, I was skeptical of this episode. I should have known that Josh and team did their research. Jolof is the main thing I serve to get my friends into Nigerian Food.
I’m glad to hear that. I had the same concerns, but I’m not Nigerian so I didn’t know
some fried turkey legs with the jollof would have been amazing
Josh is actually such a great interviewer and he does his research
I agree. He really gets to know his interviewees which is fantastic.
Agreed! Great, focused, targeted questions and also supporting with own stories but not to overshadow. Really nicely done!
I think Josh is pretty damn amazing, funny , engaging and talented and very underrated
Literally come to make the same comment
Going back to a room, or a place and saying "I think I forgot something" then romantically kissing someone is such a baller move.
I'm Nigerian and I've never seen my culture shown the love it deserves there are a lot more than you guy's tried (my fave being afang soup) and yes crayfish powder is a big part but bitter and ugwu leaves are huge love ya work 👊👊🏾
I love it when communities feel seen and represented in a right way and food always seem like the most wholesome way. Food connects us and experiencing or being exposed to different cultures is one of the best ways to grow. I've only had Nigerian food once but it was amazing and so flavourful compared to the Scandinavian food I've grown up with.
Thx
Thanks for the tip!! We love Nigerian and Haitian food in our house especially 😊
Its nice to see someone openly talking about the confusion and mixed feelings of being a nicu parent. Its like months of your kid being in the world but without the new baby new parent feeling until you bring them home. Its daunting to say the least.
Keith’s wife talks more about the experience on her podcast “you can sit with us”
@nininana972 I'm a nicu mum myself, I just don't see enough people talking about it. I was induced early as a last minute decision, my kid was born during the exact week we were moving house an hour away so we dealt with a lot of guilt balancing the move. She was in the nicu for two months and giving ourselves just one day not driving up to go see her we felt heartbroken/guilty and incredibly judged by nurses when we weren't there. So many things about this process are usually private, even all time spent in nicu we never really knew our child until we all came home together two months into it. I'm not sure I can ever fully describe everything it puts you through.
oh grant o'brian, you cant fool me!
It's like Grant O'Brien and Neal Brennan got Tuvixed Voyager style.
Hahahahaha while I see the similarities Kieth does make like %99 less innuendo than Grant.
This is Grant with 1% of the sex and the testosterone. Different horses for different courses ey..
Grant + Ross Bryant had a child and it's Kieth
grants straightsona.................
Josh and Keith have such a good vibe. Keith always has this calm confidence about him, no matter how deep he is in a bit. I think it tempers Josh's impulsiveness a bit. This was a great episode! Josh got to flex his knowledge muscles and Keith really seemed to enjoy the food!
@loswingman
I was also a NICU baby. I was born 4 months early at only 24 weeks. I only weighed 1 pound 8 ounces. My parents also had many worries about my development. I don't remember what my mom stated about her experience watching me in the NICU but I will say she watched what the staff did, and took notes of the many things they did. Because of the fact I was a premie, My lungs hadn't fully developed. Now as a 16yr old, I've had asthma my whole life and I have taken prednisone(only when my respiratory system got really tight).
I often wonder what would have happened if I had taken part of study(or if I was voluntarily put in a study by my Mom). I've heard stories of other premies being in studies that would access their development. Thankfully, I also have no learning disabilities and my health is okay besides my asthma.
Thank you for leaving your comment because I really felt that I was seen. ❤
Keith's first kiss story was phenomenal! He's such a good performer and story teller...I really could listen to y'all chatting for days. :)
As a Nigerian person it’s amazing to see Keith try all of the dishes I grew up on its amazing as globally our cuisine isn’t well known. I hope that more people try stuff like suya and jollof!!
I’m looking up Nigerian restaurants near me as we speak. Everything looked SO good
Ugh I always get misty eyed hearing about Henry’s birth. For those who don’t know, he was born about two MONTHS early. Having a baby in the NICU is hard enough, but in a completely different town in an unfamiliar hospital must have been hell.
I had my daughter at 25 weeks, almost 4 months early. Nicu life ain't for the weak!
Keith....make ice cubes from left over coffee.
Came down here to say this. I started doing that when I worked an outdoor summer job and didn’t want to start my day with a hot beverage. I started bringing iced coffee to work with coffee ice cubes and everyone was shook.
i do that! i add a tiny splash of cream sometimes bc i just can’t do coffee w no cream lol
I did my senior thesis in college about Edgar Allan Poe's role in American literature and the creation of the detective story. I am the market, Keith! The market is me!
If you haven’t seen Shipwrecked’s Socially Awkward Edgar Allan Poe skits, then you really should! A Tell Tale Vlog, buying Girl Scout cookies, hosting a Murder Mystery Dinner Party where the other guests are an incongruous collection of fellow authors… All fabulous!
I legitimately said yesterday, "I wonder if josh will bring back the "First Meals" like he did with Stevie" and this morning I woke up to this!! I dig this show!
4:35 "you have another person in the house, annnnd....they're not good at stuff"
Heinz sight is 20/20
Underrated comment 🙌
Keith is such a humble and engaging guest in this format, I absolutely love it! Stunningly relatable, too!
I am a NICU baby, born 3 months early, I was 2 pounds 5 ounces. I could fit in the palm of your hand. so the comments from Keith saying he was thrust into father hood, you weren't supposed to be here yet I'm not ready. I feel that, and have heard somewhat of a similar sentiment from my father about the night I was born. I pray everything goes well and that the baby grows up healthy. I don't comment much or expose myself online much but this one hit close to home. I was a part of the elgan study which has now moved its H.Q to north Carolina and partnered with something called the echo study. All I know is from a young age up until a few years ago at 18 they would give me a MRI and or pet scan to look at my brain, my body, and just see what about me made it so I have no birth defects, no learning disabilities, I was able to grow to be 5'11 today and I'm a big boy, over 200 pounds and have always been a big boy. They wondered what made me bigger and less likely to have problems and I believe I was just lucky. I was also put on Prednisone for a few years which I think they were also studying me for the day effects of that long term a use
Keith has found the hole in Josh's random knowledge!! Marching band instruments and sacred music.
8:20 honestly loved this carbon monoxide lesson from Keith😂
"Let's use our clout and make it succeed," hell yeah! This is absolutely the vibe.
The sports kid and the marching band kid forming a bond. Love them both 💜
Now that you're on the African adventure, you got to explore everything lol. African cuisine is so expensive, and not recognized as much as it should be. It's a beautiful cuisine and it spans the world. Diversity and culture is what Africa is about. I hope you continue on with this culinary venture. Your taste buds will thank you! Nigerians represent!!! 🇳🇬
OMG, hit her with the "I think I forgot something" 😍🥰
Josh's "Either a homie, a voyeur, or both" at 17:38 came out a little too smooth. Also, I love this series and am glad to see it back. [I hope Keith is an honorary Kitcheneer at this point and keeps coming back.]
My cat, Billy, was so excited to hear both of these voices at the same time... he loves to watch Josh and Keith.
Absolutely loved the effects when Keith was telling the story of how he electrocuted himself. 😂
ok but a home alone remake with keith and zach as the wet bandits when???????
As a fellow rural Tennessean I LOVE hearing Keith’s stories. It really is nice to have funny or happy stories about where we’re from. Also a trumpet player lol and my first jobs were always church gigs! The Baptist church being nicer and being low key salty to the Methodist is so freakin funny and on point 😂
I've loved seeing Josh on Try Guys videos so this is awesome. He totally needs to get Zach, Kwesi, Johnny and Miles all on here!
Add Johnny cakes too
would you mind telling me what videos josh was on? 😊
Wow can't believe grant O'Brien is in a mythical kitchen video
What an excellent opposite to last meals! Love the videos, thanks for making them!
That was some legit useful info about carbon monoxide from Keith LOL
Josh you finally make another one of these I've been waiting so damn long your first meal episodes are just as good as your last meal ones but I don't know why this one seems a whole lot more intimate because you're talking about your first for everything so it's basically you recollecting back to your older times it's so great thank you for making another one of these Josh
One of the best interview formats I have seen. Seemed real and casual at the same time. Having Keith around is always a gas and add Josh into the mix and you have internet gold 🎉🎉🎉
This was so pleasant like they're both such genuine and fun people
So enjoyable to just watch these cool dudes both vibe together
This video made me search for local Nigerian restaurants! I found one and they're only open 2 days a week, but I'm definitely gonna try them next time they're open! They have egusi, I'm very excited to try it!
x2 days a week is a huge red flag!! Recommend checking municipal/state food inspector before going just in case. If too new a location, look at the kitchen and make a judgment call. Otherwise enjoy Ci da kyau !
@@petracoresage8288 It looks like it's at a local rec center that has rotating smaller-scale restaurants throughout the week. I will be looking into it before I go, though. Thanks for the advice!
I hope you have a good experience. I have a place close to me and it's amazing.
Love this!! I’m going to check if there’s a place near me!
I NEVER realized how much I needed to see these two together! Also, they are absolutely the SAME person.. different font!
My heart is so full!
Incredible crossover! Love watching Keith and Josh.
I love Josh and Keith so much separately, but I adore them together. I want to watch Josh cooking something for Keith to eat every day.
it’s really refreshing to see a try guy in mythical kitchen
Always a great episode when Keith comes to town
Our baby spent a month in the NICU and yeah its super surreal and I relate to the "not ideal" part too. Cool to hear some one else talk (a little bit) about it outloud. Great show idea btw 🎉 loving it 🎉🎉🎉
That first kiss story was epic
I think I speak for many when I say...this is the colab we have been waiting for 😊
I would love to see you guys try Tunisian food. North African food is so flavorful, like most African dishes.
You're a real one for this. Love from Nigeria ❤❤❤
unless i missed a video i think this is the first of a new series and i just want to say i LOVE it. the concept is great and hearing other “firsts from the guest”. please keep doing these!!
The first one was with stevie eating jollibee.
Seeing Josh not know what something is was wild
Normally he reads like a thesaurus
Oh how I love every single try guys and mythical cross over
I’d love to see him on last meals, but I’d love to have Keith on any cameo opportunities!
i need more of this !!!
15:35 graphics team, I love you so much. The most Max Fleischer thing I've seen in a long time.
I giggled for a full minute. Echoing my thanks!!
You need to pay Keith ungodly amounts of money and steal him. I think he's the most likeable person on the TH-cam channels I've seen. Another all-time great with two digital media powerhouses. Much appreciation Redd and Link.
There's a gift for making people smile. Thank you for sharing it.
I love the Try Guys and Josh always seemed to fit right in. It's always a blast when this collab happens
This channel seriously rocks. I spotted a red patch on my tongue last month and thought there was something seriously wrong. I'd never heard of geographic tongue before, but after some research I'm 99% sure I have it. Thank you Mythical Kitchen and Josh!!
I love everything about this. Thank you Keith! Thank you Josh! Thank you everyone who made this. Seriously brought a smile to my face. The food looks delicious and expanded my knowledge of Nigerian food. I hope to see more!
Keith is the James Brown of the day. He is the hardest working man on the internet! Good interview Josh. Lookout Hot Ones!
wow shout out to other Euphonium players/folks who know wtf that is. I always say a mix between a trumpet and a tuba and feel so seen by Keith TY.
Right? I always have to explain what it is to people, sometimes even people who were IN band. I say "tuba but small" and when I explain a marching bari or euph it's "trumpet but overgrown and heavy"
Try Guys Try Kid’s Choir is freaking hilarious regardless which branch of Christianity it is😂😂 I would send that video to EVERYONE!!!😂😂😂
I LOVE this concept. More First Meals please!
“I would love to impact you today!”
Nigerian and Try Guys fan since forever??? I'm stoked!!!!!
Is this the first episode of this?? This was stellar
The first one was with Stevie I think. It was great too! ❤
I love that he acknowledged Black American food having African roots!
I cant watch the opposite version of these videos but I love your interviewing Josh. So just shout out to you and anyone on the crew who came up with this idea. Between Mythical and 2nd Try I feel like you all somehow always make content more consumable for various people.
As someone who just had a baby this year, 11 weeks early, and spent 93 days in the NICU. I empathize with you Keith (and Becky) and I can’t imagine the extra stress of not being in your own area. Hope you’re all doing really well now. Hugs.
"Keith, how much money do you have?" "Oh... some?"
I was raised on fast food too and this explains so much
Keith is so great! and as a fellow NICU mom, every success for you , Becky and Henry!!
I love Keith’s approach to ranch on wings. So validating 😂
As an inuk woman, nakummek (thank you) Josh!!
oh my GOD i was just watching the first First Meals episode last night and i was thinking “man, why haven’t they made another episode yet?”
I am vegetarian and normally don’t even think about trying anything meat wise, but this video had me craving all that food
Yesss!! Love shows that introduce people to new cuisines!! 👏🏼👏🏼
Keith is such a solid and amazing person
I accidentally read this as "Keith eats everything in Nigeria"
"like tears in rain"
i knew Josh was the buff nerd we needed
I love when Try Guys collab with Josh. I forget he’s not part of their channel 😅
I like this format MUCH better than the Last Meals
Looooove Kieth and this new format
You know the editor was double, triple, QUADRUPLE checking the spelling of the title on this one. "ABSOLUTELY no typos"
It's not the first ep of this. The first was with Stevie. But this one is awesome !
I would love to see you make Kazakh food! I am Kazakh and want to learn how to make food from where I came from
This has actually inspired me to try Egusi. I wanted to try eat (via door dash lol) but it's pretty pricey and since I don't know if I'll like it, I haven't done it yet. But now I'm thinking I will! Thanks guys!
love this new concept of a series!!!!! also keith is always a great guest to see in the mythical kitchen🖤🖤🖤🖤 who knew i could learn more about keith at this point👻🖤
THIS IS A BRILLIANT IDEA! (well obviously otherwise y'all wouldn't be doing this lmao)🤩 Thank you for giving us more heheh
This was an amazing episode. I love this panel and food approach of both last meals and first meals
Of all the things my husband cooked for me, Jolof rice is the best thing and the one that makes me the most emotional. It's a hug from inside
I can't imagine not being in my city in the NICU. Ours came at 30 weeks and spent 6 weeks in the NICU but had our support system 😢 poor Kieth
Keith is 1 of the nicest man Ever
"Novelty is the one thing you can't substitute in life" is such a great line
Keith explaining a baritone is between a trumpet and a tuba is exactly my way of explaining what a baritone is LMAO
The first kiss story.. you know krista SCREAMED when he was gone that was so romantic
Picturing a young Keith just sitting on the porch playing the trumpet is so fun.
Keith, Keith, Keith. Make ice cubes out of coffee! Then you can add ice but not water it down!
My fav traditional breakfast is dodo(fried ripe plantain) with egg loaded with onion ,scotch bonnet and tomato
For sure thought this series was dead, so glad it's not!
