Hit the gym bro it’s perfect how it is compared to others. I don’t have a problem with it in fact I love that it keeps it extra safe. I’m giving my kid my 2018 iPad Pro and getting the 2021 when it comes out. They can open the magic keyboard with out much of a problem.
SAME WITH ME!!! I got mine refurbished on amazon, HALF the price and looked BRAND SPANKIN NEW. I was refreshing amazon and sitting by a window all day waiting for it and its probably my best ipad accessory. Honestly makes the ipad 1000000000000000 times better.
Opening tip: stand the MK with hinge downward, opening upward ... and pull the base downward parallel to the desktop. This is so much easier than pulling the screen upward into the air. works so much easier.

The angle of the iPad is so much better and typing on this keyboard is so much better compared to the folio keyboard. having the trackpad was just the game changer for me. Most of the time i would use my iPad for work over my MacBook Pro but i really didn’t like typing on the folio keyboard so i would gravitate back to my MacBook but now with this new keyboard I haven’t really missed my MacBook at all.
I haven’t watched your 3 month review of the magic keyboard yet. I am currently holding out hope that this is still on sale Friday for $199. I don’t really want to pay $300 for the keyboard.
Great review! That was very thorough. And I love the perspective from a non-Mac user. Really liked how you set up your iPad desktop, placing all the apps in folders on the dock. Very clean setup. Subbed also. Great job! 👍🏼
If you’re lifting the iPad to use it as an iPad, it’s best to just take it off the magnet. Which I prefer rather than having to use the iPad with a keyboard on the back.
If you need to draw turning the keyboard upside down so it’s where the screen would be puts the iPad into a position that’s quite comfortable to draw with.
The keyboard and 11" weigh almost as much as a Macbook Air, the 12.9" + MK weighs as much as a Macbook Pro, it's not something you want to hold up in your hands. Even if they could make the physics work and not have the hinge fail, you wouldn't like gripping a full, clicky keyboard and trackpad. Think of it as a collapsible dock that you mostly leave on your desk. Since 2020 forced many people to work from home I actually wish it were heavier so it could support the iPad on a more traditional laptop hinge design with room for a larger trackpad and function keys.
I love mine so much. The pass through charging is a game changer. I use it like an ipad and only use the keyboard when necessary. It’s more of a dock 🤷🏾♂️
I've heard of this case: www.switcheasy.com/. It's compatible with the Magic Keyboard. But I also don't use a case, only a dbrand skin to avoid scratch - it's not as if we're leaving the house or traveling much at the moment so I'm not too worried!

I have the 12.9 MK and looking at your 11 MK the clear difference is the keys all around the QWERTY and numbers. Your 11 MK is much more condensed. I bet your typing experience would improve if you had the 12.9. I agree about the functions keys. Would love to see that
Maybe that’s a good point. I can type fairly well with the old folio keyboard I might just need to get used to this one. But it’s definitely a possibility. And they really need function keys! Thanks for the comment!
The TH-cam app does support the trackpad ... at least I can pinch outward to go full screen, and pinch inward to go smaller ... what the TH-cam app does NOT support is keyboard shortcuts ... I'm still waiting for spacebar play/pause, and arrow- left and right to skip forward/backwards
I know some people don’t feel like the price justifies what you see online, but I took the plunge and bought it. Aside from my iPad Pro itself, this was probably the next best investment I’ve made this year. It‘’s made my iPad experience so much better. I know I will eventually, but I don’t have the huge desire to get a MacBook right now and all. Absolutely has helped me in work. I guess it’s personal preference. I have another Bluetooth keyboard. It doesn’t compare in MY opinion.
I’ve tried so many keyboards in the past when I went all in on my iPad and ditched my computer. And the magic keyboard is probably the only one that actually made me feel like I didn’t need a laptop. It’s crazy!

I realized my needs weren’t as dire as I thought for a laptop just yet, and so I did it this way and I have no regrets. Once I figured out the hand notions and everything. This was the best investment I made on myself in a long while. I know that I will eventually get a MacBook because there is only so much I can do, but I don’t regret my decision at all. Also coming from the Generation 7 to the Pro...whew!! It really does feel like a little computer and with the Magic Keyboard, I am absolutely content.
Haha basically me too! I know that eventually I’m also going to need a macbook, and am honestly looking forward to the new ones they’re releasing. If you didn’t know they’re coming out with ARM Macbooks which basically run on the same chip as the iPad so I’m so excited for that! Appreciate you watching by the way thank you :)

The keyboard is a game changer for real haha. Appreciate the sub all the way from Vancouver!! I think the pencil is worth it if you want to sketch or take notes for class, but as an input device not really.
The opening issue I agree with you, as it is otherwise an excellent accessory. However, I do think you’re wrong with being able to pull down the notifications. I notice now that there is that small bar on the bottom edge of the notification, and if you grab it, you are able to pull it down.
Hey, if the budget entails and you think you can make the most of the magic keyboard then definitely! Although, it can be a little repetitive if you already have a MacBook that you've been working off of.
So your if changed a lot without use iPadOS shortcut? I couldn’t live without it but after research and found a clone one with iPadOS shortcuts and it was ok because I am NOT impressive with poor trackpad gestures! I am looking at Brydge Max+ keyboard…..
If I used the Magic Keyboard trackpad all day, it was kind of hard to adjust back to a regular mouse. But it didn't last long, maybe a few minutes of confusion until it was all better!

The only person that would buy that keyboard is someone that never had a keyboard to begin with. I still have my ipad pro 12.9 2018 in the Logitech slim folio and while I would give it try, it needs to do more for me to justify . It doesn't even have media playback controld
Great video and trust me once you use a MacBook you gonna hate windows . I was using windows all my life till I used a Mac. The trackpad on Mac is so much better .love my iPad 11 with magic keyboard, nothing like it.
Paying $300 is fine if the build quality makes up for it. It isn't built like a unibody Macbook Air so it's a step down. I've seen a lot of TH-camrs with oil marks on the trackpad with their Magic Keyboard. Disgusting

Hard to open equal’s more grip keeps the pro safe. I don’t have a problem flipping it open with my fingers.

I was so happy when TH-cam had spacebar working to play/pause in the app. That was nice. But now it’s gone again. Oh well ... back to Safari now.

Haven’t seen any real scratching problems, but I would probably recommend grabbing a screen protector if you want to be 100% sure
