Unveiling the Secrets of Mizoram: Reiek Tlang Best Tourism Village

- Reiek in Mizoram is a largey hidden gem of Mizoram, known only to those who visit the state and choose to go beyond the capital city Aizawl. The village was given a Gold Medal for being one of the best Tourism Village of India recently, and I completely agreed with the selection when I visited Reiek.
Located about 20 km form capital of Mizoram, Aizawl, Reiek is easily reachable by road. However, once you are in town what you do completely depends on you - you can chill and relax, enjoy local foods, go hiking or try adventurous activities like rappelling.
We did all of it and had the best time possible in Reiek. This is my story from Reiek.

I spent a little over ₹50k, including the flights. Talking to locals is hard as an introvert anywhere, and Mizoram isn’t different that way. You’ll have to make an effort to reach out to people - if you know a local that certainly helps. All the best 👍

I don't recommend you travel on march late. If you are to travel on March you better start on the first day of the month. The Chapchar kut festival is on about 1to4th day of March. It's a dry season an on mid march Jhum burning will start which will make the day alot dull and travel dangerous cause of wild fire.

I agree - it’s a bit tough. Since I do eat eggs, I got some food to eat…without it things would’ve been more challenging..
This is just my suggestion. Great videos but show more of the place and less of your face. We like you friendly face but most of us are here for the tour. haha :) .. it could also be you are presenting in wide format.. so perhaps get a wider lens.. either way good job.. best wishes.
