Love your editing and the narrative.

Thanks, lots of retakes as I often mess up, miss pronounce or just have a blank while narrating. I don't have a good voice for it either but I'm sure everyone feels the same about their own.

I like your style of videos dude, justice quick question, when opening doors etc how do you decide if theres an enemy behind? Do you not deploy as per rules?

Thanks, not for this mission, I housed ruled it. There were token in the room with random numbers underneath and that generated enemies in the room. Since sand runners are melee only I wanted to add that element of surprise.

Tough turn! I will miss Yaccar. It seems we are heading for a climax in the story in any case! Would have made for a good sci fi TV season.

I appreciate these videos as I prepare for my first attempt at this fascinating looking game. I wonder if you have been using precious Story Points on the Injury Table rolls, and you’ve just been super unlucky? The rules for brawling could be more clear. Each enemy resolves its action completely before going onto the next. I know your video is highly edited, but it looks like you allowed 2 sandrunners to gang up on one crew. This can’t happen. A moving character can contact two figures, but then the non-moving character gets the +1 outnumber bonus. Also, each stun marker gives a +1 bonus to their opponent in melee (though the stun marker is removed in the process). Still, brawling seems like a terrible crapshoot, and a true nightmare in such close quarters.

Thanks Tom for the feedback I'll do my best to cover all your points. First of all I house ruled how I would use the Story Points, I didn't want it to change crucial events in the story. If someone died I would not reroll that, I would accept it and recruit someone new. The story points were used more for minor aid like extra credits but I barely used them. I wanted the story to be told from the raw rolls. I also house ruled to start without a ship to make it more difficult for my crew.
As for the battle I am going to find a way to represent the rolls in my next campaign since my videos may aid others with learning the game as well as how I tell my story by adapting the various event tables, a lot of this is not seen or understood. It will also bring to light any mistake I make as well. But will need to find a balance in video edits vs content. In round 5 both Harlan and Yaccar get rushed in Melee by two sandrunners each but one at a time. I took the image of them all moving to save on editing every move and fight. Harlan fought two sandrunners one was stunned so Harlan had a +1 in Melee, Harlan won that combat, and rolled over his toughness killing the first sandrunner. He then engaged the second sandrunner in melee and lost the combat roll against and the damage would have killed him so he engaged his luck roll. Yaccar was unlucky has she lost her first combat roll as well as the damage roll killing her in her first melee engagement the last sandrunner just moved. One thing I did forget to do it take the move after winning a melee combat.

@@COPPERFR0G I respect your decision on Story Points, it does make make for a more lethal drama. I don't want to suggest that you put more work into your videos. They are fun, short little vignettes. I really like the use of artwork as backdrops to different elements of the non-battle portions of the campaign. My rules comments were mostly born from just having carefully studied the rules before an initial play. I find them mostly clear, but very nebulous on some points.

I was already debating on adding the rolls to my story to show how the result impact the narrative. I need to find an easy way to display this since I take still shot.

@@COPPERFR0G There is a weirdly-placed box on p.41 that lists a bunch of rules for stuns. The last sentence says that stunned enemies will not move to brawl. I missed this, as did a different battle report video. Makes a big difference when facing brawl-happy enemies.
