What did your code all state
If I wanted to smoke test the system would I connect my smoke machine to the top hose going from the purge valve to the motor ? then how can I close the vent solenoid ? I dont have a bidirectional scan tool as I'm using autel md806 pro

I have a 2006 ford explorer with the code p0443 purge evaporation circuit fault, the question is if this fault is related to what the EGR valve code p0403 appears, if I change the purge valve, will the two codes disappear?
The removal of the valve was very good. Other videos don't show that.
Just an added note, after replacing the valve on my truck.
The small hose was deteriorated so I replace it as well. This may be a consideration on yours.

I don’t have any codes but my truck is experiencing a long crank recently and then starts up and chugs into idle and then runs fine. Could this be a potential issue?
What about p0498 i checked it with my blue driver and it says low circuit vent shut off valve but when i click on the repair it takes me to a replacement purge valve instead so which component would be the problem?
What is the name of the top hose you took off? Mine is dry rotted and I can’t seem to find the name or part number of it.

Does the bluedriver always diagnose a code? My car has a rough idle in the drive gear. I don't have any codes popping up so idk what is causing the shaking.

Without any codes how do you know if your evap purge valve is faulty? My fuel tank psi reads negative pressure anywhere from -30 to -80
I have no codes, but my truck is running really rough once i hit about 30 mph. I notice the top hose is completely collapsed. Could this contribute to my problem?

Do you need to reset anything after replacing the ''Vapor Canister Purge Valve''
If you are seeing the codes mentioned in the video after replacing the valve you should try to clear the codes.
I have a p1450 fault on a 05 ford expedition. Could this be the cause? If so, could it also be causing misfires because the valve is stuck open? Thanks. I've been told by a shop I need a new engine.

Hello, any help would be appreciated. I too have a 05 expedition. Did this fix your issue? Also, does your engine hesitate on highway speeds? As if you have to keep punching the gas for it to maintain power

Knowing my truck is over 15 years old, as I was replacing the purge valve I thought that I'd also change the hoses. The purge valve part was easy to find but it's not as easy to find a replacement hose for a 04-06 5.4L F-150.
Theres tons on ebay and amazon

Check small hardware stores, they usually carry different size hoses and you can just buy whatever length and snip it to length when it's on the truck. Just what I did.
What symptoms would cause the need to replace?
A lot man, if your car has a hard start or trouble to start, or It may even be harder to start after fueling

For P2196 your most likely culprit is a fuel injector

Probably not - this code is for a lean condition so it may be something an air leak, clogged fuel filter, bad MAF, O2 sensor, etc

Depending on the year P0451 might actually be your fuel tank pressure sensor

Does this also work for P1450- excessive fuel vacuum?
It's possible but the fuel tank pressure sensor is more likely

@@productive23 I haven't. I reset it, it will go a couple of days and light back up. It hasn't affected the driving, and I've been working 6 days a week since November 2020 and I just haven't had time to look into it further

I changed this & the light went off but still has hard to start & rough idle
I was looking over the comments on here and I noticed that you had said you changed yours so when you change yours and then it still had the same problem did you already change your upper O2 sensor and also check your mass airflow sensor if it was connected to the upper intake all that stuff I've done all those things I just haven't changed this evap solenoid and I'm wondering if when you change yours what did you also find out you had to do to get it fixed
@@armandochavez3242 on my truck it was the variable timing solenoid but on the VW & Buick it was the purge valve
Apparently not a P0446 that's also telling me the same thing?
In my truck the hose that goes from the valve to the top of the manifold gets flat like as if is stuck closed and lot letting air go thru it, is the purge valve that is bad or something else?

I took the purge valve off and tried to blow thru it but is closed I am guessing is stuck closed because even when I put power to the valve it still stays closed but I haven’t bought a new one since is like 100$ for a new one but this week I will, I will update when I do

@@dustincrane9311 Ford couldn’t find the part for me. Mine was falling apart and ended up I ended up using a 5/16” fuel line and reused the quick disconnects
I had to order the hose from Ford. Description of the hose says "tube asy- fuel vapour". It is the top hose on the purge valve
@@dustincrane9311 the parts Department at Ford found the part I needed online. The part number is 5L3Z9D289A. He ordered it for me
