don't get me wrong I like coming to Vegasd been coming since 95 but todays Vegas is a big ripoff. Eventually they will over play their hand and be begging people to come back with cheap deals long enough for a recovery to screw us again. The only reason I come is because I get room and food comps otherwise I would never pay retail for anything.
@@TRMV you don't understand my comment. Yes people pay but there will come a time they won't than the casinos will offer better deals this has been the trend in Vegas since the beginning.
@bestfoodreviewroadtrip7612 That's the price you pay for living in Vegas. All the California transplants moved there about 30 years ago. (Not to mention what's going on in the Dallas, and Houston area in Texas) That's why I'm about to move to the Midwest in a couple of years. (Because ALOT of people just don't wanna live in the middle of the country. ) It is what it is.
The food looks so yummy! It was well worth it for the last hooray. So sad that the Mirage is no longer gonna be there. It was so beautiful to walk through there.. Thank you for this video. Another good review.
I have many memories of the Mirage without ever having stayed there. The story of how Mirage got involved with the OJ Simpson murder case is a classic. Thanks for this and all of your videos, guys-they are always fun!
The deals can still be found on the strip, but it definitely takes some work. Not like 1993 when my boyfriend and I ran from casino to casino, chowing down on cheap pizza, hot dogs and tacos. There was an Irish casino that had cheap fresh tacos with guacamole for almost nothing
Now it’s mostly about happy hour and outside vendors like Dirt Dog or In N Out. Slots A Fun is getting my slot and cheap hot dog biz the next time I’m in town lol
I remember I got married in las Vegas at the little Chapelle,we drove from Washington to Vegas to get married,I was so excited & nervous we even got our marriage license there, nice to see you guys! I love every single video you all make!! Take care& see you At the next video!! To bad about the Mirage hotel....im sure it was so popular to go to!
Must have stayed thier probably 12 - 15 times ! We will miss the place .lots if fun vacations. That Diablos area was were the tigers once were .and across fro thier was Carnegie Deli . Miss that place .went away during covid years .bummer. best NY pastrami. Loved the pool area and having breakfast at the paradise cafe next to the pool . Anyhow all good things do come to an end ...😢 good review!!
wow, those are really cool vinyl booths! another YT did Diablos @ Luxor recently and the food was exactly the same. I like to dump the salsa on the bean goo also rice and then eat with the chips, so good moove there.
We stayed at the Mirage a few months after it opened. The Mirage wasn't as good after MGM took it over. When I first got to Las Vegas I went across the street to the Holiday Inn Hotel/Casino. Bought in for little money and walked away with more than I bought in for. My wife and I liked to play late at Silver City Casino. It was owned and operated by Circus-Circus. Then we walked across Las Vegas Blvd. Less traffic then, and went to the Stardust and ate at their coffee shop, Toucan Harry's. The Mirage was nicer when Steve Wynn owned it. Used to like to play at the Pioneer Club in downtown Las Vegas. Las Vegas Blvd looked a lot different in the '90's. From where you are go to Flamingo Rd. and Koval Lane to Ellis Island.
We're usually looking for good deals. We kind of crapped out here because they canceled happy hour. It's easy to spend too much money on the strip. When are planning a vacation to Vegas??? 😆
Get off the strip go downtown, planet Hollywood the miracle mile has so many food options, Aldo the link proms made. Sure if you do to the big casinos you will pay.
Inwouldnt eat on the strup unless its one of the nicer places like yellow tail. You at least getbabgreat experience. Paying so much at these regular places just isnt worth it. And even off the atrip i have very few ppaces i actually like. Its not the same vegas anymore.
Most of the TH-camr reviews of the Diablo's Cantina at the Luxor was not favorable.. I'm glad you guys enjoyed the meal, but there just are many Mexican food establishments that are far better and cheaper if ambiance and presentation is not what you want to pay for.
Totally agree We kind of wanted to try something before they shut down the mirage It was good but a but overpriced We're excited about all the Mexican options in Vegas
I loved the mirage because of Vegas vacation!

We need to gamble more to get comps 😆
You’re sadly quite incorrect, people continue to pay, so they’ll continue to charge.

Food looked good. At least they didn't charge for chips and salsa . I have been to some places here that do. Great video as always.😊😊
Charging for chips and salsa is ridiculous especially when the menu prices are so high

True original birria is goat and taste amazing!
We tried that in Los Algadones and loved it
At those prices I'd need a big drink
It helped

Our first time visiting was in 98 and so much has changed!
We have shared a couple of Ellis Island videos. Their BBQ was really good!

Everything looked so yummy. Wish we could get the recipe for the Red enchilada sauce.
The food was beautiful 😍
Great memories there .. Spent my last 2 days in Vegas there .. one week before Covid hit .. 1st and last time probably..
Oh wow!
We were staying at the luxor the week covid hit!
It was weird watching everything shut down
The food looked good, but prices were very high. I have never been to Vegas but you two give a very good idea as to affordability there.

Me too
The Mirage was mine and Tina's 1st weekend getaway when we started dating in 1993.
Love that story!
We wish we would've spent more time here
The strip prices are expensive , better to eat off strip
100% agree 👍
Vegas needs another Steve Wynn!
Agree!
I don’t like when the lady gives her opinion on the food but the guy he is the truth ✨🔥

i spent $200 on lunch at Cheesecake Factory. Dont feel so bad...

How many people?
Hopefully the beans and rice came with the entree. Dave Ramsey 😂
Yes! No extra charge

You can ask to see a menu before you're seated so you can see the cost. Do a little research and it will pay off.
We researched the menus at home and expected the happy hour options
This was canceled the same day so decided to try something anyway.
