    Thanks for the update. Sounds like a solid little truck, but the issues you described would drive me nuts.

      It's definitely annoying but every truck is going to have issues. The good outweigh the bad.

    I have same truck. you need to have the tires road force balanced. It’s a different type of balancing but it made all the difference in the world. Mine shook a little bit at first. But road force balancing fixed the issue. This is not a regular type of balance is totally different but it will fix the problem. As far as the start stop all new vehicles have it is mandatory law. The start stop system in mine works fine but you can still disable it every time you get in the vehicle. I have heard of other people using a trailer brake plug which will disable. I wish they would have thrown in the cold air intake as well but you’re mainly paying for the tires and suspension suspension is Fully adjustable so it’s very expensive. It’s the same as the raptor. As for your mileage I don’t know why you’re getting a low number is probably due to the tires. Once you have the balancing done that I explained earlier you should be able to get at least 18 miles to the gallon at 80 miles an hour that’s what I get between 70 and 80 but I have actually gotten 23 miles per gallon if I keep my foot out of it and run about 55 to 65 mph. Anyway I wasn’t trying to be critical but I do think you can benefit by having a balancing done as far as your start stop issue that might be something that they have to do a reset on. My biggest complaint about my particular truck is probably the brakes they’re not bad but they could be better!! I like they should have gone with bigger brakes. Anyway I hope this helps. If you have any real questions concerning Roush please speak to my dad the crazy mustang man he is the number one Roush salesman in the world. He is probably the most knowledgeable person you can ask as he has a close relationship with not only roush industries but Jack Roush Sr. & Jack Jr. I love my truck and have taken off road but no mud only sand at the coast and it performed flawlessly. Did excellent in snow as well

    I have 2020 Ranger lariat and love it. Just hit 10,000 miles and no issues. I used my Ford pass points and bought tonneau cover and it is amazing!! Keep up with videos you are doing great and can't wait to see the new brush guard!!!

      I just hit 8500 miles after 5 months. Absolutely no issues to this point. Rides great. Best truck I've owned.

    Just picked up a 2022 XLT with off road and tow package with 18 inch wheels and Hankook Dynapro tires. Smooth as silk at all speeds. Mostly city driving nets 18.5 mpg. Mine is a crew cab in the awesome Orange Fury color. Loving this truck. Its whisper quite and rides very smooth. Of course yeah you have some hop in the rear axle but not so much to make a fuss about. The sound system really improves if you stream from android auto with you tube premium from your smart phone. Big big improvement over Sirius XM sound quality.

    The tire will get better. Drove my Roush 20.001 from Maryland to Texas and Back. 4,711miles. Mine came with Cold Air intake and Tune. I average 19.9 Mpg.
    Current miles 15,000. Smooth ride at 100+ mph on Texas roads.

      I took it in to Discount Tire at 3000 miles and had them balanced and rotated. Rides great now.

    My Roush Ranger is supposed to be delivered next week. I added the Sports Bar and plates. I also wanted the Cold Air intake and Tuner but they are on back order. Might be awhile.

    Mike, my 21Lariat with HANKOOK tires gives me a slight buzz feedback at 35-40mph but is smooth at hwy speeds. Approaching 1,000 miles I’m getting 20.5 mpg on my commute 50/50 hwy/city. Sport mode keeps it from doing the auto stop/start or a slight easeup on the brake pedal when stopped keeps it from actuating stop/start. Sometimes I do remember to hit the switch to turn this feature off. Normal drive mode is a bit sluggish for me but dropping the lever a notch to sport mode is a noticeable improvement. I’ve just played with the + - switch on the side of the shifter and seems it might be nice for hilly or mountain hwy speeds to drop 10th & 9th gears. Like that grill insert. See ya on Sunday.

    As a 2018 Chevy ZR2 owner, I’d be really interested to hear the opinion of someone who’s driven both of these vehicles.

    • @MikesWorld1
      @MikesWorld1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not driven the ZR2. All I can say is I've owned Chevy's and Fords and the Fords just seem to be better built. I bought a new Tahoe in 2011 and things didn't align right, interior pieces were falling off, and it just didn't seem to be built well. Another Chevy we had was the same way. All of the Fords we've owned were solid and comfortable. I doubt I'd ever go back to buying a Chevy.

      @@MikesWorld1 I hear you. I had a ZR2 for 2 years and it was a great truck. No issues whatsoever, other than cheap feeling interior…but I didn’t buy the vehicle for luxurious interior, so that’s really beside the point. I’ve since sold the ZR2 and bought a Raptor. Once I’ve driven the Raptor for a bit, I’ll be able to make a decent comparison between the 2.

    My 22 Ranger doesn't start back up unless you let the pedal up a but but I agree it's annoying. I don't have a roush and I'm getting 21.2 average right now and even I notice the low fuel light seems to come on quick. I bet for sure at 15mpg it would be really annoying. Does anyone make a bigger tank?

    • @MikesWorld1
      @MikesWorld1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I changed fuel to E-10 Super 91 Octane and I’m up to 20mpg and get 15mpg when pulling our race trailer.

    Once you hit a deer or a dog, etc, you will wish you had the cattle guard... voice of experience... they do a lot of damage to the front, even at 30 mph...

    • @MikesWorld1
      @MikesWorld1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm aware. I hit a deer doing 70mph in the rain with my 1995 Toyota Pickup. I had a brush guard, which saved the front end, but it still did about $3k worth of damage. Would have totaled the truck without that guard.
