@@overseer3072 Definitely is. It’s dorsal fin is not a false killer whales plus it’s too large. Definitely a female looking for food and the rest of the pod is offshore somewhere.
When I was younger I swore to God I saw one swimming 5 ft away from me. No one believed me and all laughed/thought I was seeing things. I remember it clear as day. Finally proof. I knew I wasn't delusional
"Unknown species" my eye! That's an orca! I can tell by the fin shape. When I lived in Oregon, there was a large pod of them that used to come into Yaquina Bay every year.
If it is an Orca, they certainly are meant to swim with a pod, it is crucial for survival as they hunt as a group and are very social creatures. Orca families stay together for life, so a Lone Ranger is usually not a good sign but some males have been seen miles from their pod here in Washington. We have all Orcas named and linked to a Pod family tree out here.
Pilot whale is more likely. The dorsal fin is greatly arched and the reflection from the water has you all fooled for an orca. Plus the long shape as it goes through the water also a clue as to the species
My first thought was a false killer whale. I saw two beluga whales near Terra Verde back in 93. My cousin spotted the pair a month later in Crystal River.
Omg everybody’s freaking out about it being an Orca. Yes it is but it be the very rare Type D species of orca that was just discovered on 2019. Look it up. I saw a video about them. They’re subantarctic orcas which go north.
I am at Destin Beach and saw an orca this afternoon. We were swimming and I too thought it was a dolphin next to us until I saw the giant fin flopped over. It was jet black. Scared me so bad I left the water!! I am certain this is an orca.
My family and I seen same thing just 2 days a go on fort myers beach. It is bigger than a bottle nose dolphin and I did see a white patch on it's head. Looks like a young orca!
So my immediate first thought is that this was indeed an Orca. But now I’m just confused because the white Saddle patch markings on the one in this video are on the wrong side of the whales fin??…that white patch you’re seeing on this whales back is iconically always just BEHIND an Orca’s dorsal fin. Almost makes me wonder if this was some kind of hybrid?? Or possibly a pilot/false killer whale with Vitiligo? We probably will never know! But it definitely is an incredible sight to see. Orcas have been my favorite animal since I as 5 years old and I go to Pass-A-Grille beach often.. I would absolutely lose my $h*t if I spotted this in person while at the beach or boating in the gulf ! 😀🤩🥹😍🫠🖤🤍🏖️🌊
Dorsal looks a bit small for an orca to me. It looks like an orca with a super small dorsal fin. But why? Go look at picture of orcas their dorsals are huge and tall. Not curved and small like a big dolphin.
Only males have the big dorsal fins, females and juveniles have the smaller curved fins, what is unusual is that grey/white patch is in front of the dorsal fin instead of behind it.
We're in the middle of a complete dimensional shift culminating with the Super Blood Moon and Eclipse on Wednesday. Animals from other dimensions are coming through. Most of them similar to 3D animals, but more dreamlike in appearance. I saw three giant bat-like creatures fly around my house the other night; their bodies seemed to be the size of a Corgi with incredible wingspans and shiny, silvery underbellies. While they were flying, they dis and reappeared as if they were glitching. Oh, and there have never been bats of any kind in this particular area.
Yo. It’s an Orca. They roam the entire globe.
They weren't supposed to be there
They're literally in all climate they prefer the cold tho

He's having a walkabout.
They aren’t meant to be loners :( they need a pack for socializing and for hunting, they are very social/emotional creatures.
It's a freaking Orca! You can see it plain as day! Dude wtf are you doing over here?? Yep, we are definitely in the under world, lol..
Wow. You're smarter than the scientists. Mystery solved, guys, thanks to this genius.

It's an orca. This isn't the 1st time this happened in Tampa bay.

Rare to humans, but known in the underwater world.
