    I just came across your video when looking at deltoid nerves. A little back ground. I was in a motorcycle accident 6 years ago and put my shoulder into the back of a truck at about 80kph. I have been doing physio for 6 years. I just had shoulder decompression surgery in December. I’ve tried everything and worked with many people over the years. The pain burning you have described in you video is bang on. I lift weights and it bothers me some but it’s the smaller movements. I use a grinder at work it burns. At night pins are needles. Trouble with movements to the side also. What is the best way to get this nerve looked at? EMG? I’m going to my doctor because I need to know. Thank you so much for your video. Six years this has been going on and know one can tell me what’s wrong.

      If I were you I would ask for MRI & diagnostic ultrasound of affected shoulder.

      Dr Donald A Ozello DC Thank you. I’ve had lots of both even had the dye put in the shoulder. If this was not the focus is it possible that they might have missed this. This is the last thing I’m going to investigate. They can’t figure it out so I’m hoping. I appreciate any comments.

      You're welcome. If I were you I would review the imaging reports. I would also check to see if it is possible to get a second opinion on the imaging.

    I get a terrible pain just below the deltoid and also a part of the biceps and triceps when I flex my arm and internally rotate by doing an empty can movement. That happns at arond 60deg of flexion.
    I did fracture the humeral head and dislocated the humerus when I fell heavily downhill. The pain is there when I flex the arm but the agony I'm sometimes in is replicated by adding that internal rotation.
    Does that sound like the axillary nerve? Or a combination of axillary and musculocutaneous? I get a very horrid knife like pain in what I take to be the coracobrachialis .......... but really I'm no anatomist 😊

      Thanks for watching and for asking a question. Unfortunately, I can not answer your question without performing an examination. If I were you and the fracture was completely healed. I would see a Doctor of Chiropractic. Here is a link that may provide you useful information. Please let me know if you have any questions.

    How’s it going doc , was wondering if there’s any way I could send you my mri and emg for a second opinion ? I have deltoid paralysis and it came out of nowhere … from my educated guess I had shoulder impingement which was shown through mri and I did a stretch while it was impinged and after that I had paralysis .

      I am not an expert at reading MRI. If I were you, I would see a Doctor of Chiropractic for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment. I would ask the Chiropractor to send my MRI's to a DACBR for a second opinion. DACBA is an expert at reading x-rays and MRI. Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology (DACBR).

    I had a bi-lateral traction injury back in June. My arms got tractioned hard in opposite directions away from my body. I had a scan of the shoulders and there was no damage to the tissues. I also didn't lost any function of the arms. Still waiting on a scan on the neck.
    However, I'm in agonizing pain everyday in both shoulders. It's definitely nerve pain. Lightening sensations - burning - sharp pains. I have no idea what to do. Do you have any resources?

      Hi Joseph, If i were you I would ask for MRI's of the cervical spine (neck) & both shoulders to help determine a correct diagnosis.

    Can it cause osteovascular necros of the humeral head ?

    • @drdozellodc
      @drdozellodc  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Paige. Yes, axillary nerve entrapment is an associated condition with humeral head osteonecrosis.
