That would’ve made a great FM save
Also on University College Dublin, their highest point was likely beating F91 Dudelange in Europa League Qualifying Rounds. They were in the 2nd tier of Irish football at the time, but qualified as one of the highest ranked in UEFAs 2014-15 Fair Play table.
Although they aren't a professional outfit, they have achieved more than many many professional clubs.
My 100th football ground visited, 2001 FA Vase against Bracknell Twon(2-0). Ground was a typical athletics stadium, not great for watchnig football, but the food in the sports centre cafe was brilliant!
I remember going there with banbury in the southern prem.
these lot were probably the most hated team in non league at the time because of all the controversy and politics around them.
Following a non league team my whole life, I've seen some really weird and obscure grounds.
But I've only ever once sat and watched a game on a steeple chase hurdle 😂
enjoying working through your vids mate. keep up the good work
Cardiff Met qualified for the Europa League in 2019-20. Unfortunately they lost on away goals to a professional team from Luxemburg
They are my FM team! :)
University College Dublin have had a team in the League of Ireland for years, won the FAI Cup and played Everton in the Cup Winners Cup
Think Everton won on away goals or by a single goal on aggregate
@@folarinalabi3250 2-1 on aggregate I think, the home game was played at Tolka Park because UCD's ground wasn't up to Uefa standard.
The year Everton won the Cup winners Cup. Beat UCD 1-0 on aggregate 1984/85
