Henry, you are absolutely a fantastic, emotional guitar player that resonates when you play the chord progression of this EPIC song. I never thought I'd ever be able to play this chord progression but you simpified & broke down th chord progression so cleary, even I was able to follow. However, of course, i had to work on the open chord progressions coz i"m so used to playing power chords & barre chords mainly & these chords rings heavenly the way you arranged it. THANKS A MILLION. I am now a subscriber & hit the notification bell, can't wait for more EPIC song guitar tutorials from you. God bless.
Always loved this song, this is a really good tutorial thanks but the D#m7 you refer to is actually a C#m7 as you are playing it on the 4th fret so the root note is a C#. This did not detract from the lesson though as I was aware but may confuse a beginner All in all a great lesson Thank you. Rod in lockdown United Kingdom
17:04 You could say Db minor 7 (D flat minor 7) 18:04 again states the same error. This Chord is a 'D Flat Minor 7th'. or, a 'C Sharp Minor 7th'. Nice Guitar, by the way.
Thanks so much for taking the time to explain this beautiful song, your breakdown of it it easy to follow, many thanks again sir,I've subscribed and look forward to more of your tutorials, also I'd like to point out that you do look after your followers by giving away free chord books, you certainly are a star sir,🎸🙂
I especially like your intro and verse (the thing you do after A maj. The 3 chord walk down....I I just use my pinky and ring and move them together from the 4th to 3rd frets and leave my 1st finger frozen. Clapton rarely plays anything the same way twice and I like his concluding dyad / triad solo on example 1 below....but also like how he intros on example 2 with his pinching the high E and G strings. You have really nailed this one. I'm selfishly interested on how you'd handle the lead on example 1 below. Part of Clapton's extraordinary talent is his sense of micro-composition...the symmetries in his phrasing...His dominant melody lines are always referred back too and his grace notes and scale tie-ins are wickedly fast and clear. This is all integrated with precise pauses at exactly the right nano-second...and gives the play it's metronomic elegance and accuracy. What he does here with strumming and muting and shifting into precise single note phrases so fast it looks like he never stops strumming.....he doesn't just riff...these little masterpieces of composition come and go like lightning with him and always have for the last 50 years or so that i have listened to him. he never fails to amaze and inspire and change and evolve and they would have done just as well giving him the Nobel prize instead of Dylan...They both have given so much.....what half-serious guitar player doesn't have some Clapton in his/her vocabulary....whether they even know it or not? ? Anyway...I signed up for your course online pdf and maybe I'll buy some of it...I'm curious and lately I've gone weeks without playing and it's THIS song that got me right back in recently...it's just too pretty.... So....Thanks! th-cam.com/video/fGDIxcuPT7s/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/QXHpTyE0C9I/w-d-xo.html
What happens after the second chorus where he repeats "Baby if I could change the world" towards the end of the song? I have no idea what to do for it and cant find it 😭 much appreciate this fantastic lesson but if you could just fill us in on that last tiny bit then that's the whole song complete
Love it bro thanks man for your help for free, it's what I believe in, let's help each other for free and not try to make millions out of it, just spread the knowledge for free, and someone else will do the same for us. Nice presentation man, pitched just at the right level. Credit where credit due. Thanks pal
Great lesson but the run down from A “if I could cha......” is difficult to follow. You’ve played it as an outro but in the middle of the song, I’m struggling.
This is terrible, you could at least include the chord shapes via tabs while you're doing this, and it's 1000x easier to play the bass string with your thumb

Great lesson. (C#m7, not D#m7). Cheers
Noted and thank you! 😄
Thank you. Best teaching method for me so far on TH-cam
Great lesson! What advice do you have for learning how to sing and play at the same time?
I wish every guitar tutorial was as clear as yours. Really thanks!
For Dummies, please: Isn't your D#min7 not a Dbmin7, respectively a C#min7? Or is the C# here def. called Db because something about the Key?
Thnk you for very easy and same sound tutorial love it salute💯
Thank you very much... It was a very good lesson... 😍🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼💓

Looks like a Maton EBG808 Tommy Emmanuel signature model.
So cool that song love it

great lesson much better than tabs i found, thanks keep up the good work :P
Awesome!
good job bro
Great lesson, thanks!
Thank u so much very accurate and usefull
Isn't that D#m7 a C#m7?
Yes it is. He meant to say C#m7 each time.
Was that a click coming through your headphones?
You sound just like Tim Heidecker
Great lesson but the run down from A “if I could cha......” is difficult to follow. You’ve played it as an outro but in the middle of the song, I’m struggling.
17:07 is actually C#m7
10 puntos !!!
Thank you❤️
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Nice vid/tutorial... @17:05 "D#-7"? actually a C#-7...
also right after that, loosey goosey with the G#m7/G#7... it's all good...
...then it's a Dminor7... for clarification it's always a C#/Db minor 7... it was confusing me... nice vid
Sorry, I didn't realise until much later...
Dean Parks shows how he played it . . . on the actual original recording.
th-cam.com/video/hD61T83e-vU/w-d-xo.html
you should watch your video and correct it in places
Thanks, you’re awesome man! ❤️😎❤️🍀
👋🤟
❤️❤️❤️
It be better if you showed the chords. Hard to see what your doing
Doesn't really show the fingering.

You confuse to much, just teach the song and don't talk so much
This doesn't sound right. Yikes.
way too much snap/slap acoustic damn man
Sorry
@@henryolsenguitar it's okay, just don't it happen again please. Also, thanks for the lesson.
your action is too low, and your attack too much
Thanks!
Thanks, I appreciate it!
