Recently I shared a lesson about how to play “Change the World” as recorded by Eric Clapton.
This tune seamlessly blends an awesome blues groove with a catchy pop melody…
The lesson struck a chord with many of you.
But there are a few things that a lot of players don’t know about this song…
First, Clapton didn’t write it.
And second, he didn’t even play the main acoustic groove on the song.
That was played by a session guitarist here in Hollywood by the name of Dean Parks…
Today I want to share with you the part that Clapton actually did play on the song…
And that’s the SOLO.
Plus I have a theory about how he did it…
I think he pulled a sneaky move.

I like the lesson but I wish you would play the whole solo first and then dissect it.
