    I LOVE these sparring drills 🔥
    These types of drills are the best when it comes to working on your timing, rhythm, reaction and overall technique.

    Really nice video. The one, two, three is a cool drill. The flow, tempo and rhythm is a nice indicator how technical sparring can/should be, more play then over trying. Plus, Cassie's kicks are so smooth, the release is so effortless. Thanks for sharing.

    • @seanfagan
      @seanfagan  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yea it's one of my go-to drills for sure. And yes, Cassie's kicks are super good. Her TKD background definitely helps with the fluidity and control of her kicks.

    i like how they are doing light attacks just to train and get familiar with the moves but not trying to hurt the other person while also giving them enough time to get used to blocking.its a respectful 50-50, if you wanna learn to hit harder do it on the bag, and keep sparing respectful for your training partner. only when you are very familiar friends with your partner can you both agree to slowly increase the intensity.

    • @seanfagan
      @seanfagan  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very true, it always helps to have good control when sparring 👊

    great sparring tips! I've been in beginner kickboxing training for 1 year, and out of all your drills we've only done the attack vs defence; but I really like the two-for-two, it's exactly what I need, since I think I can get into a realistic tempo, while knowing that I'm not going to get countered every time I go for my attack. Since I'm still figuring out the basic attacks, I don't want to get punched in the face every time for not countering their counter.

      @@seanfagan so I did this with my group today and it was so interesting to see them starting with uncomfortable, spastic reactions to the attacks to getting more easy and comfortable with them. That was my sign to raise it to the next drill and you could observe the same development again! Awesome method of getting them more comfortable with sparring! Thank you Sean Fagan! These drills will become standard at our gym👍🏼

    I have a wee background in Tae Kwon-Do. I was hitting the bag one day in the gym using the traditional kicks. A bearded chap in those thigh cut shorts appeared and showed me the Muay Thai style. We swapped numbers and he invited me for a lesson and a very light spar. Was hooked (literally) instantly! That first leg kick hurt like a bitch, man. Great fun, but. Been practicing for months now. Love it!

    • @JonasUllenius
      @JonasUllenius 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sett your mind to it and you can do it.
      Have a tip for saving money:
      Only pay with paper money.
      When you get coins back you never pay with them.
      Some times it is hard but it is for something you want.
      Put the coins in a jar and never take any money from the jar.
      Do this for one year and then you can go and train there.
      I believe you can do it if you commit to it.
      Go for it and have fun.
