when Truth and Soul came out I told my best friend "if this doesn't make fishbone one of the biggest bands in the world, then something is really wrong with the music industry. And I was right.
Damn, Angelo Moore is one of the most under rated and under recognized front men in all of rock! This dude puts his heart and soul into the performance!
@@peterjanjanin9883 Rock is a _very_ broad and vague term. American ska is a derivative of rock. Also, they don’t just play ska. They play punk, funk, soul, metal, and progressive, most of which are also derivatives of rock. So Fishbone can safely be considered a rock band. It’s not nearly descriptive enough to do them justice, but it’s technically correct.
We talking raw, objective skill? If so, I’d say Vic Wooten has him beat. But Norwood is still fucking _insanely_ good. Top 0.01% of bass players I’ve ever seen.
We all have that once concert you wish you'd been alive for and witnessed. This is the one for me! Every time I put this video on I end up getting up from my chair and dancing my brains out for 5 minutes. Legends!!
I thought "Everyday Sunshine" was going to be a huge hit for these guys. It just never got off the ground. Fishbone needs to be in the hall of fame already!
The song that makes me going mad each time i hear it ! I will see Fishbone live for almost the 15th time on april 4th 2012, in Paris. I promise I'll break the high jump world record on that song !!!!!
Went FISHBONE gigs in London That were mind blowing, went stage diving, a lot. Angelo dived sang take me to the back. we did he climbed up to the balcony. And jumped off we caught him and took him back to stage. gig went on
I don't even know where to start. They play it however the hell fast they want to play it. The particular bpm selected in the studio does not mean a song always has to be played that speed. If they are all playing the same speed, they aren't playing too fast.
@kaneo67 That just means they're losing creativity. The beauty in live music is improvisation and re-imagining of the song. If you want to listen to the album, stay home and listen to the album. I also don't think Metallica plays note for note, for what it's worth. You're not giving them or Fishbone the credit they deserve.

They're on tour right now and show no signs of stopping.

Thirty years later and I still get chills over the bass line.
Masters of Funk.
I love this sped-up version, makes the bass lines even more amazing and funky!
Little clubs like this are still the best way to see live music.
Been a fan of y'all since I saw you on SNL in 1991!
Crazy Set
Used to watch them play live back in the 80s. Still the most fun shows I've ever been to.
And RHCP are stars and Fishbone aren’t?!! Life isn’t fair.
I saw RHCP open for Fishbone in ‘87 in Ann Arbor.
RHCP used to be good... used to be. Now they're just generic crap. Fishbone are still damn awesome.
