Poetic conceptual ideation. Wonderfully considered. Masterfully executed. Refined and sophisticated, without pretence. Hope to see more from them in the future ✅
I'm very much interested in this concept of the screen, not just for privacy but also for protection (metal screens) and heat/sunlight control. Can anyone recommend anything to watch on this topic, for inspiration purposes?? I’m also interested in the mechanisms used for moving them while at the same time making them very resilient to outside attack.
Used to be a lovely area Jan Juc very sleepy but now the whole area including Torquay is just a Melbourne suburb. The people who have lived in that area for a long time are just so nice and friendly. I miss you Jan Juc
Maravilloso concepto abierto y cambiante. Una forma de vida, en la que la luz y el espacio acompañan los cambios y el movimiento de lo vivo. Hermosa obra .
We are building and one thing I’m curious about is, keeping the doors and windows open, how do they keep the “elements” out of the house (flies and mosquitoes)… we don’t want fly screens but thinking practically… 😣
Does Australia not have light-blocking building codes? In the UK you can’t block neighbouring light to windows, seems like in Australia you can? Cool place either way!
I've never heard of us having any sort of solar access laws tbh. The UK has those rules due common land laws, which we don't really have here. There are some parts of Australia with light related laws - but they're related to reducing night time light pollution near national parks in areas near space observatories. What normally happens in Australia is basically every house in an area is built with a really similar design that prevents it fucking over everyone else in the street too much. All that stuff, I assume, has already been taken into consideration before it's built.
What do you mean block neighbouring light to windows? We have a sustainability index which means windows facing north and west need some sort of shade structure, awning over or external blind or in this case timber screens.
Very elegant… they must be a very quiet family… walls dun touch each other means noise filters . Am wondering if there will be changes when the baby grows up 😂
This house needs some kind of window/door screen system. Right at 2:24 you can see the insects coming in. And with all those webs shown one can only imagine a ton of spiders getting inside. And who would want a bathtub all exposed like that?

Such an incredible project. Private yet spacious, the property exudes an aura of comfortable sophistication through clever and inspired design. Kudos!
One of my favourites. I love the way the light moves throughout the interior

i can just say, I LOVE THE MOVEMENTS!
What an incredible renovation! The screens are magical both on the outside and in. I love the truly open concept! Well done.
Truly a beautiful home.

The screens are a very clever idea for the project!

Hi, have you watched this video by Local Projects: Three House by John Ellway Architect. They use shutter screens and windows in an interesting way.
@@a_o3772 Thnx. Will watch it.

Yes! Another one! Stunning.
I love everything always obsessed with your channel have been for months
Background music is very calming,
Just guitar strucking reminds me of a great movie, brokeback mountain.
Thanks for sharing ☺️

Renovating a home in Atlanta, Ga. I’m constantly referencing videos from this. I’ll be adding this one to my reference list :)
Build to the weather I suppose. The Queensland ones would be in a similar climate. Good luck.
What an inspiration. I love everything about this home! Well done.... ♥
Would love to live in this one!!
Dream home!

I had a similar thought. I love many things about sliding doors, but the downside for me is they are not great for soundproofing.
Lived in Japan for 15 years, and never been in a house like this.
wood wood wood
Un bien beau logement
👍
No fridge or adequate kitchen prep space? Looks like a lovely, minimalist space to order takeaway in constantly 🙏

Video need to be good ..but it has to be clear as well so that we understand it easily how it ends etc
Jancuk.. first thing I see lol

So true, they could have easily fixed insect screens to the back of timber screens
Elementary......
Yikes!!! No walls between rooms. No privacy, inefficient heating and cooling...only an architect would think of this.
0:50 Redeveloped? More like gentrified.
SIMPLE, CLEAN, BUT NOT FUNCTIONAL .AT ALL
Beautiful
