Dear @TheLocalProject, This house has wowed me from start to finish of this video! Thank you for sharing it here on your channel! Lots'a love, cheers, & Mabuhay, from tropical Philippines!
I love that you also introduce smaller, humbler but very inspired properties and not just ultra luxurious large scale projects. It allows us to get inspiration for our own builds.
Exactly. I used to love watching this channel, but at some point I stopped watching, because watching all those huge luxurious houses that I will never have, was putting me down. But as soon as I saw the title of this video I clicked on it and was pleasantly surprised to see a smaller project like this.
Очередной удачный проект этого канала. Что касается ремарки про шикарные и недоступных проекты, то я считаю, что в каждом из них есть что-то, что можно применить для себя.
OMG! I am obsessed with this house! Everything from the arched windows and doors (custom?) to the muted colors throughout! Minimal but warm. The outstanding green space! Everything is perfect!
The way I click so fast on this video because I used to see this little house on every designer Instagram feed all the time but I never see the interior. I love it how its pretty simple and functional. love the materials that they used in the kitchen mostly and the landscaping. 10/10
I see what you did here! "Mostly migrants from Greece and Italy" yes! This is a great modern interpretation of all the elements of traditional Greek and Southern Italian houses! You managed to reference the arch, the terrazzo, the built in seating found on terraces in those countries but a chic version in wood and uphostered bespoke cushion, the indoor-outdoor feel and stucco all in one very nifty small house with focus on social spaces. Nicely done! I wish modern builds in these countries were half as nice! It's interesting that elongating a classical arch immediately feels art deco too! The choice of windows and zoning in tiles and unbroken terrazzo surfaces is everything! And SO great you kept the big trees and didn't see their size as diminishing of your structure! Large old trees give lifesaving shade and last for generations and I really detest when architects remove them all. It's a very cool little dream house and garden, sleek, calm space, not busy. Love ❤️
I could very easily live in a home like that permanently. It was stunning. I am more into your tiny homes I must say, as that is the path I will be going down.
This book was a great resource for ideas, practical advice th-cam.com/users/postUgkx-b91_bYU48sOwHX-XC49tRRXRxcnOmZm and pro tips I purchased the plans for the 10'x16' colonial and used them for the basics and made my own modifications. I built my shed for storage and lawn equipment, but decided to sheath and side it in case I ever wanted to add insulation and turn it into a shop or bunkhouse. I poured over this book all winter while I planned and found it to be the all-around best shed book out there.
I just fell in love with the color of the kitchen counter. A peachy/apricot/salmon/hint of terracotta color that makes me WANT to cook. I didn't even know that was a color that I liked!
Wow what an amazing space. As someone else has mentioned, I appreciate that this channel shows a variety of houses from the huge and luxurious to these smaller spaces. Something that I particularly loved about this project that I feel is missing in a lot of others is the sense of cosiness and a truly homely feel, mainly due to the house actually being populated by personal knick knacks. It actually feels lived in.
The addition creates a beautiful silhouette to the home. I love the corner bench which is such a great use of space and it receives such great light. Very nice.
Terrific space.... absolutely terrific.... as soon as I finished watching it I immediately shared it with a friend who is a retired architect. As a designer myself for well over 30 years.... I loved every bit of it! I just might even start ordering the 3x annual book as well..... LOVE IT! xoxo Randolph
Congratulations on creating a simple, spacious, upgrade to what was most likely a typically dark Victorian house. Congratulations also on placing the kitchen at the end. It allows for light and views in what is essentially a “ workshop” and gives direct level access to the beautiful garden. In practical terms is also isolates the noisiest part of the house ( extractor fan, dishwasher, fan forced oven, coffee grinder, etc) from the quieter living spaces. Significantly, large opening windows and door, provides for sufficient air flow for venting of airborne cooking pollutants ( smells of cooking fish cabbage , airborne cooking oils, chemical cleaning fumes etc) to not fill the living space, and it would be easy to isolate the kitchen further by a wall across the room with a door if that proved desirable. On this issue, I believe that some current research is starting to establish the deleterious effect the “ kitchen/ living/ dining room “ is having on air quality and therefore on family health.
Many Asian homes have a separate kitchen and dining area. Living in the western environment, it was so hard to find something like this so my parents made an outdoor kitchen. Now we have two kitchens - one indoors and one outdoors. Would love to see more homes that separate the living and kitchen areas
I love the house, i just wish i had a moment to enjoy the full view of it . The snap shots / clips make it hard to take a moment in without pausing the video
I love this channel so much. Such lovely spaces are shown. I personally will renovate a very large home because I like lots of space, but I appreciate that all the homes you highlight are equally stunning without being ostentatious.
Yayyy... 😃 There it is! At this point I don't recall the amount of time I've pined and repined this one on my Pinterest boards. Matiya? Bravo! You super rocked on this one! 🤩👌🏽 This one goes right in to my own - mentally personalised - The Local Project edition 🤭🤗 (were I already have over a dozen favorites). Guys? If you plan to go global - on featuring other projects, outside Australia - do please, kindly, consider inviting the Architect Javier Campos on his Wabi-Sabi modern japanese inspired small home project 🙏🏽✨ Big thanks in advance

Whoever filmed this video didn't know what they were doing they kept focusing on tiny things that you couldn't get the feel of the whole house as one.

This is not tiny, but the perfect size home. so beautiful!
When did they mention the size?
@@Grace-jb7me TH-cam title :D
Tiny? :D :D It sounds out of touch... "how many windows? 9" :D the house has an unfolded dinner table for 8 :D

The terrazzo countertops in this project looks incredible. Your client was proper keen

the backyard is absolutely stunning!
This house is a little gem. The terrazzo is a winner!
one of the most tasteful houses i've seen on this channel for a while

One of the most beautiful homes I have ever seen. 😍
I am so charmed by this welcoming, cozy space. And the garden, so lush. Beautifully done.
This is so stunning!!!
Love a humbler sized home done amazingly.
Simplicity is very hard to get right.
They got it right.
What a joy to watch
The videography here is a piece of art.
This is lovely. It reminds me of travels and suits the garden. It's so nice to see clients valuing preserving their outdoor space as well.
Saw glimpses of this house on my Pinterest some time last year so glad I get to see the full thing here today
The arches are fabulous!!! I wish I had them in my home. What a (positive) difference they make. Beautiful design! ❤

You truly understand the spirit and soul of architecture and how it lives (not just looks). I would love to work for Sans-Arc. Beautiful job guys!

As I always say, a house without plants is a soulless place.

My favorite's scene's of beauty about the house is the glass door and the one big large glass window to the right of so.
Nice cozy home; the Prince album cover though 😍

The arch windows & doors really work out the playful design.
Beautiful
This house looks rather compact, filmography here made it feel like spacious, airy place to be in.
Casa maravilhosa! Parabéns!
so natural !!!
Love the video editing ❤ inspiring
Lovely.
Funny how some countries call this a 'small or tiny house' when for most people it is a normal or even large house.
I’m an Aussie myself but I wouldn’t call this a tiny house either 😭 There are a lot of big houses here because we have a low population density but I’ve seen many houses the same size or smaller that no one considers tiny homes. Maybe it’s a tiny house if you’re rich 😅
I loved your house and it’s surroundings. Your cat is soooo cute. Very tastefully done. All the best. 💐
