You can really tell how much the owners/employees/humanity like this host, they really open up and act so comfortably on camera! Seriously adds so much to the video.
Mr Wolfers He's inquisitive, he wants to know. That's a genuinely good host. He talks less, makes them talk more.
Sheldon's a badass in the kitchen too, he's made it to the top 3 in two different seasons of Top Chef.
Mr Wolfers yeah I work like a block from chef Sheldon's little lunch spot, "tin roof"... killer food and such a good dude. Small kitchen with maybe 5 workers (keep in mind no servers or seating), but you will still see chef in the kitchen when he's on Maui. Everybody loves chef Sheldon

Best Indian sweets overall are located in devon in Chicago like “tahoora, and ajwa “ however if you’re in the New York area and u want something that’s sort of close to authentic Indian sweets I would recommend maharaja sweets on 37th Avenue in jacksonheights,they’re the closest u can get in New York other than that come to Chicago

This host is great! He makes everyone feel comfortable, this video stood out among others as very interesting and happy, i think the daughter really had awesome passion about her restaurant and pride in her parents

Shah Esfelazi Actually except one or two restrictions on religious basis, rest 99% of the cuisine is same for all south asians. Afterall pakistan and bangladesh were born out of India.
RoyalBob 90% of cuisine and culture isn't the same for all south asians. do you know how much land the term "south asia" actually covers? and you think all the culture and cuisine is the same lmao
but its still similar, dress and food style from the himalayas to sri langka ... there is still something connecting all of you. Even a marriage has similar traditions, compare that to Malaysia - it is so different between races within the country. Even in South East Asis compare that the Thais and the Malays very different even though we are close to each other, we cannot share each other foods (Muslims cannot touch pork), language and culture is totally different.
These are the types of folks we need.

Indian sweets are much better than any other cuisine's. You just gotta love 'em
I disagree. If were sharing opinions here I think it's overkill on sugar. Sweets should be about the flavor and sweet balance but indian sweets just explode in sugar and over power everything. Maybe I didn't have the right ones but all the ones I've tried were like that. I prefer chocolates.

Houston is a diverse city but compared to New York City which has the highest foreign born population in the world, Houston is definitely not the most diverse city, especially in terms of sheer number. Houston is still mainly Latino, particularly Mexican, with 44% identifying as such. Whereas in New York City there is no ethnic group exceeding above 30% in demographics. In Queens, it's even more diverse in demographics.

To put even more diverse perspective, from a Houstonian, like no more than 5-10 min away from this Mahatma Gandhi district is the equally legendary Chinese district which in turn that's connected to the Vietnamese district that they were in for the Crawfish-Vietnamese fusion episode but also you were few blocks away from this legendary overlooked Iranian restaurant that's been around just as long as Raja Sweets that I feel like should get as much credit as everything else.
Houston seems like a nice city.
So you have worreity of food item near your city
Belief in self, hard work, persistence + No excuse making = American Dream achieved.

2:12 When I was in kindergarten one of my classmate's mothers brought in this desert and for years I've been trying to figure out what it was. That bright orange color has always been on my mind. I remember thinking it was good, it is a fond memory.

There are countless Indian families in the US with the exact same story except the business's are different. Being from an Indian business family as well with an almost exact story I'm here to tell you poverty and oppression are a state of mind and culture. Nothing can stop hard work, dedication, and carrying yourself with respect. This video should inspire some to stop blaming others and history for their problems and get off their butts and just work for what they want in life.

Such a great video to watch as an American born to Indian parents who visits Houston at times (relatives live here and I’m pretty sure they’ve taken me here before!). Tbh I don’t like Jalebi personally but Gulab Jamun, Ladoo, and Rasmalai are my weaknesses

My brother's wife is Indian and her family's hospitality and warmth is insane. The food is always the best and you're rammed full of food and alcohol until you burst. Hence, my sister always drives me to family events on that side :)

I feel like Indian sweets are a really underappreciated aspect of Indian cuisuine. It was such a huge surprise for me discovering all of the amazing sweet stuff when I was travelling in India but never really see it back home despite there being a lot of good Indian restaurants in my area. Let's hope some good spots pop up soon 👍
