    Thanks for an informative video. The one big thing missing is showing how the rear camera was attached, even though it shows how the front camera was attached. It's puzzling that for a long video like this it misses the very important step of showing the attachment of the rear camera.

    Do I need a hardwire kit for this camera because I'd like it to monitor while car is parked & not drain my battery

      Yes

      It’s powered by your battery, so even if you hard wire it to an always on power source it’s going to drain your battery. How much or how quickly is the question. I plan to do this with my car, but I drive an EV and the car monitors the 12v battery and tops it off from the drive battery if it gets low so this won’t be a problem for me.

    I installed it no problem with help from this video. Thanks 🙏 although idk what the red wire is for also I’d like to know if the camera is able to keep recording after you turn off the car…

    • @alrhodes05
      @alrhodes05 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That red rire is for a hardwire kit. The kit will keep power to your cam 24/7 and that's the only way to record video when parked. It'll be hard wired to your fuse box. I just got one and about to install it in my car

      @angelines7409 I was wrong about the red wire. You can connect it to your reverse lights for the parking assist function. You do need a hardwire kit to record 24/7 but I was wrong about the red wire. I just installed mine and should've made a video but didn't. When I put my car in reverse the dash cam acts as a backup cam. Its very small and I'll never use it for that but I did connect the red wire to my reverse light. Amazon sells the hard wire kit for it.

    You said that it doesn’t “loop” and record over but that’s not correct. It DOES loop automatically if you read the manual?

    Buenos días compré una dash cam pruveo pero no vino con cable de estacionamiento. La alimentación es tipo C . Necesito saber qué tipo de cable comprar y donde instalarlo en la caja de fusibles interior de Toyota Sienna 2019

    Question what does the GPS function do?

    • @cbarucom
      @cbarucom  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. I haven't explored this camera deeper yet. But generally, GPS can be used to measure speed and determine the direction you're moving. They are displayed at the bottom part of the footages.

    Is it normal for the camera to be turning off and on when in parking mode? We just had that ACC kit installed by a technician, and he said it was normal.

    Need a video on how to connect it to mobile app. Just having it in physical SD card leaves you vulnerable to someone removing the card in a worst case scenario.

      Red wire is for the parking assist function. It connects to your reverse lights but is not needed unless you want to use your camera as a backup cam also.

For some reason I CANT SET THIS DAMN TIME. I get to the menu, SWITCH THE TIME AND EVERYTHING BUT CANT LOCK IT IN, everytime I press “home” and it goes back to recording, the time always goes back to the incorrect time.. how do u lock the actual time in .. please any advice will be greatly appreciated
