Just leaving a tip in case someone had the same problem I did, if you can't find the AppData folder in your user folder, you have to go to the view tab at the top and check the box to show hidden items

You can also just copy paste this into the explorer address bar:

Hi, I copied everything you did but when I try to open my new blender version it's crashing and not opening.
I'm so sorry to hear this. Try uninstalling and reinstalling it again. Which version do you have the issue?
@@impetusgm my main blender version is 4.0, I have a problem with transferring 4.0 to version 3.2, but I was able to transfer version 4.1.
How do you open up that menu? In the beginning, I don't even get that option to import my older versions. at 0:20
Unfortunately that quick setup splash screen only shows when you have installed Blender for the first time, after that, it shows the normal splash screen. to get it back, the only way I know for now is to uninstall and reinstall that version of blender. If there's an alternate way that i find, i will quickly let you know about it.
its not working for me i renamed it like you said in the video but now my blender 4.2 is opening version 3.0. what to do?

Most definitely. It should work without many issues.
didn't worked on min, did same , I installed 4.2, deleted 4.2 then copied and pasted 4.1 and renamed it as 4.2. But when I opened the 4.2 app and showed me as 4.1 in the above window. Why it doesn't work?

So sorry to hear that. You might have to reset the UI under preferences. Try that n see if it brings it back.

Normally it opens automatically when you open the new version for the first time. But for some reason for some people this don't show up, but if fallowing the steps from this tutorial will show up.
Sorry for the late response. But the Quick setup splash screen appears only when you open a freshly installed version of blender. To access it, you will have to uninstall n reinstall blender to get it again. I will look into other methods. If I get one, I will follow up with a response. Thanks, and good luck.
