    Hello sir, at 11:30 you describe what happens to spaghetti noodles if they are embedded in a matrix, and how they're able to gain compression strength. This compression strength is just the strength of the matrix itself right? And is the new capability always close to the tension strength or is that again dependent on the matrix/glue they are impregnated with?

      The embedded strength is probably closer to the tension strength than the matrix strength.
      This will be clearer after you review some of the later lectures on strength
