Incredble performance by one of the most amazing artists of our days... Peace and love from BavaRAYEa bro, over here we've changed our country's name to honor her genius...
QUEEN RAYE! From the UK! Just Magnificent. Raye had a rocky start with many ripping her off, but True Talent - True Grit - & TRUE HEART will always RISE! ❤🎉
If you look at Raye its easy to say that she looks and sounds like Amy.Winehouse. Now listen to Rayes album -My 21st Century Blues and you could easliy say that she sounds like any top tier singer from the last 30 years. Any one of those songs could be sung by anyone famous such as.. Rhianna, Jessie J, Mariah Carey etc..shes a songwriter that changes her live performances every single time. She writes all her own lyrics and with her manager arranges all of her live performances. Simply Phenomenal.
The fact you have reacted to covers of Paolo Nutini's "iron sky" and youve seen one of his other songs but but not his performance of it at abbey road.
I get the Amy comparison, but then again, it's a lot to put on some young singer, given the tragic trajectory of her life. It's probably more appropriate to say thgey shared a lot of influences, so they're both very classic, in some ways, and quite gangster in others. They are also very different. To name just a couple, first, Raye is a much more confident live performer than Amy was - she clearly adores singing to for an audience, she never seems to sing the same arrangement of a song twice, and yet she's always on top of whatever she chooses to do; whereas for Amy, the stage often seemed like the last place she wanted to be, and some of her performances were pretty uncomfortable to watch, sadly. Second, Raye's songwriting often deals with difficult subjects and experiences from her own life, but ultimately her message is one of resilience, growth and self-discovery; she doesn't linger in the bleakly tragic tone of much of Amy's work. Which is certainly a good thing for Raye - I think she's gonna be around for quite a while.
RAYE is a phenomenal writer, producer, and vocalist!!
