Too loud exhaustsystems also. If have built in a New suspension, even only springs, you have to go the the tüv, where an engineer checks if everthing is built in properly e.g. - the same for intercooler, downpipe and so on. Which All have to have a special number, which indicates if this Part is licencensed to get built in legally (which almost dubbles the price of every Part, plus the cost of the tüv itself). Powerincreases e.g. are very very costly, if you want to have it legal in your Papers. Often more than the parts themselves.
Betcha all the negative people in the comments don't even own a car. Fiesta's are great fun and aren't gonna cost you your kids college money in insurance. Perfect balance for a sport-y daily.

My dad owns a blue mk 7 fwd and I own a saab 900s. I was the one who figured out how to turn on the wastegate to its loudest setting. He hated it cause he said it was hooning. But, my god, it drives well!
All these Fiestas with the pop bang tune, very interesting. I own a 16+ in the States and right now I only have a BOV adapter and an intake system but I don't think I'll ever get a pop bang crackle tune. The intake already gives the engine a really aggressive note and the BOV adapter is louder than those crackles.. Well some of them. 😂😂
I own a mk8 ST3 and let’s be honest no fiesta sounds that good. The engines are too small and muted. They are however very fun to drive, cheap and practical which is why people buy them.
Chris R-Watts i drive a mk7 ST mp215 and i think the mk7 doesnt sound too bad but the mk8 ST sounds great, it has a nice note and good standard exhaust sound. Theres a performance edition mk8 3 miles from my house in northern ireland and im very tempted to upgrade after this lockdown as ive had the mk7 just over 3 years now, love the mk8.
They're fun and sound great, but I hate the pops and bangs. Its embarrassing. I don't want a car that announces to the world that I have the mental age of a 13 year old.
I didn’t see one 5 door hatch, that’s all we got in the US from 14-19, I have a 14 ST with stage two Cobb tune 3” MBPR exhaust, short shift kit, and sticky Mitchlen tires, there rare here in the US, where I live the population is 17,000 and I have only registered ST in town.

As a MK7 owner...this is cringe to watch. Alot of these are just boy racers slapping on a bov adapter and a burble tune thinking they're fast. There was very few that I enjoyed, But I guess that goes for any Factory turbo hot hatch 🤷🏼♂️

People don’t understand from factory these cars burble and pop.. adding more fuel with throttle cut ontop of what these cars do naturally is obnoxious. I did 30%+ injectors running E40 on my fiesta, no added tuning to do anything fancy, and she burbles and bangs quite often just out of its nature. If it’s natural I think it’s pleasant, tuning to do so are just over the top so I can agree with you.

The MK8 fiesta ST - I apologise in advance for this comment if you own one, but damn the design went too soft.. in comparison to the MK7. It just looks less aggressive in every way, exhaust, rear splitter, the angles. Daymn
The MK7 doesn’t sound BAD but they definitely screwed up making it sound GOOD. They should have found a way to make it sound similar to the same model year Focus ST, at a minimum. Instead we get a very generic sounding turbo 4 that doesn’t exactly scream “performance”.

I don't hate them, but i don't like them either, i wouldn't get one on mine, but a slight overrun gurgle kinda sound like when shifting in your average amg, that's kinda nice in my opinion

To start with, they're not fake, they're a "real" product of the combustion and exhaust system. Also, hating on something that doesn't compromise you, doesn't speak well of you. I bet there's other people who hate what you drive or they way you have it. Regardless of the excuse, it's ignorant to hate something because it's different or because it doesn't fit our criteria.
So what's "character" according to you..? Weak engine..? A 1.6L producing 50hp per cylinder (stock), you obviously don't have a clue about cars and why these are some of the best rally cars in the world.
