It follows his decision to end the party's power-sharing alliance with the Greens, which left him facing a vote of confidence.

That wouldn’t have mattered if he hadn’t got involved in disagreeing with The Greens, insulting his SNP colleagues, gender recognition laws, hate speech laws and Gaza. He should have been focussed on the Scottish economy, the NHS, creating jobs in the country - the basics. Also, he failed to tackle the scandal surrounding the SNP finances.
