This brings back good memories. This song was playing when I was in high school. I like it then and I still like it. Liz was really doing her thing in this time period; I hope she makes more hits that chart again ❤
I'm not for everybody so I get this Song...I'm extraordinary even with my flaws which is better than perfect and BORING 😊...Too all my extraordinary peeps in the Universe Love & Light 😊.
I'm inclined to believe this may be a reupload, as there have been times when this version was 100% unavailable on TH-cam (possibly due to its connexion to the movie). Unfortunately, I don't think the number of times previous uploads were viewed got accounted for here.
Faint) omg I remember this movie from 00 s omg it's like yesterday omg Kate Hudson takes her kids shopping and when they get back a phenom starts playing in their living room. Omg great much?
Dude. I'm really drunk but I thought of this song. I haven't heard it in like 14 years since I was seven. We had the 999 on demand channel and it had a thing for music. I hated this song every time it came on but now that I'm 21 and old, I feel like it encapsulates an entirely different time in my life. It's super nostalgic to hear this banger after a decade and a half.
When this song came out, I was so in love with a guy that wouldn’t even consider me 😢. This song is the theme of my life at that time… “I am just your ordinary average every day sane psycho, super goddess”.
Nineteen years. This song came out in 2004, just three years after the Towers came down. There are kids who were born when this song came out who are now old enough to vote. I remember listening to this song on the radio. The song seems so emblematic of that time, a remnant of a disappeared culture, an anthem for a breed of women now seemingly extinct, alien to the time that followed it, just one generation later. The world has changed so much. Liz Phair is 56 this year. I can hardly imagine high school girls today thinking this song spoke for them or about them. That's no disrespect to the song, or the artist; I like this tune. It's just a meditation on the culture itself.
A song about unrequited love, self doubt, and finding the confidence to admit that you are flawed but extraordinary...you don't thing girls today can relate to that? I think the subject matter is timeless.
Liz makes one feel that you’re back in the 90’s and of course here, the 2000’s. Her music really takes you back there.
underrated af song holy hell
Good music never gets old...❤
I love this song so much. It feels like heaven and I’m not exaggerating in the slightest 💚

Yes, you are extraordinary. No doubt. Incredible talent and beauty. The absolute coolest woman to ever pick up a guitar.

LOVE IT! This is the most early 2000s thing ever!…. Good times….
This is an awesome song for those that struggle with mental health.
It's an awesome song PERIOD! Bonus points that it helps those struggles too.
The song isn’t about mental health. It’s about expectation/perception vs. reality.

This album got trashed by the critics in it's time. But it's held up amazingly well.

She's changed her sound and makes bangers from the 90's to now.
How the fuck does this video only have 7,115 views in three years?! Liz Phair deserves more recognition.
Everyone hated this song when it came out. Different standards back then.
@@edwardfights4900 that's not true. It was a hit and was on the radio a bunch at the time. It charted, though not super high, certainly not hated.
it was hated by some of her fans who thought she'd 'soldout'@@9melissal

A great song for a great movie like raising Helen. Also I'm hoping that Liz phair will be releasing a greatest Hits cd or a live dvd soon.
There is a Greatest Hits CD, but for some reason it's rare and expensive.
