  • Today's video is for Educational Purposes only and is a quick showcase of the CoinOps Legends 3 build for the Raspberry Pi4! This is a 700 game collection and is about 36GB in size. New base image
    Supports 16:9 (1080p) and 4:3 resolutions
More playlists: all, favorites, lastplayed, arcades, old school, beat em up, run n gun, fight club, shoot m up, racer, sports, puzzler, consoles
Also works on Pi3B(+), but there are slow down. YMMV
Xinput controllers are recommended. Non-Xinput or Dinput may work but may require some setup.

I think you are using CoinOpsX off a thumb drive. This is not CoinOpsX. This is an image build you use with a Raspberry Pi4. You could connect you Pi to the cabinet and play this build on the cabinet if desired.

I did like this image, but I had weird issues with the entire system slowing down over time (over the course of a day or so) and getting really choppy. It would get better after a reboot, but always reoccurred. I've since switched to a Wolfanoz build (Wolfanoz_12K_Gold_128GB) which is dead stable, even running nonstop for weeks.

I can still see slow down during the scrolling & selection on this build. Slow down is a inherent problem on all the Raspberry Pi builds. I would recommend a PC-based MAME build with HyperSpin or other front end instead. If you’re going to build a Multicade, do it right.

Unfortunately, there isn't much guidance for remapping control buttons. Specifically, I'm having issues with ps1 tekken 3. I need to change the buttons on my arcade stick with encoders, and I run into issues. (I got the buttons mapped for the other emulators without issue). Is there an easy work around or guide for the ps1 emulator specifically? It maybe best to run it yourself, so you know exactly what I mean. Most people are focused on the other games and miss it.

@@PDubsArcadeLoft thanks for taking the time. HNY! I tried to get this to work with my gen 1 arcade1up mod. I'm finding that my Arcade sticks are good at default for most games. However, I cannot for the life of me remap the buttons correctly in the playstation 1 games within the emulator settings. For example, when I play tekken 3, my start and select buttons on my arcade stick are punch and kick. I'd like to remap them. I can access the menu, but it's a bit more complicated to remap and arcade stick within this emulator. This is not an issue if I use a controller like a 360 controller. I hope that makes sense. Please advise if you're able to get it to work for your arcade setup, and what adjustments are needed. Thanks!
