I am particularly interested in hearing more about how your contacts can assist with managing short term, long term and b&b rentals. Not having a local network to manage the property has been a hurdle for me.
These videos are invaluable.thankyou.would you know if New Zealanders can buy in Italy. I have seen youtubers with some saying no and some saying yes. I sent an email to the consulate her in NZ but havent heard back. Thanks so much
Ah sorry... it is true.. NZers can't buy here. Also Canadians. The way around it would be to buy in someone else's name that has another citizenship - or my name if you're buying a €1m mansion!! Or you can buy a business but that might not be so practical.. Sorry!! I had the question arise recently so had double-checked with a notary and they confirmed it's still the case. Richard
Awwww thankyou so very much.Although I do have a business here in NZ and my brother is now an Australian citizen and Aussies can buy in Italy. I will look into the setting up a business option first.thankyou so much
One reason might also be that the Piedmont region is slightly overrated and over priced compared to the rest of Italy. Piedmont has famous wines but therefor nobody wants to pay more for a house and the the weather is much better in other regions. Running a B&B in that region is a real challenge. A short wine tour visit ok but not a long holiday. Coming from Switzerland it would be geographically very convenient but not Mediterranean enough. I do not see any improvement other than prices going down but lets hope for the best. You are doing a great job and never say never - may be all in a sutton a nice house shows up at a good price.
Hi Roberto, I love your comment as you've inspired an idea for the next video - can I prove to you and the world that Piemonte is not overrated but underrated?! It will be a big production but I want to do it and I hope you will view it with a good spirit as I also want to make it a little funny. I really appreciate your comment and with honest determination, I want to prove you wrong but will also buy you a beer and a pizza when you're here ;-) Richard
Hello Mr. Langhe , this is my first view of your videos , I am relieved to hear that I do NOT have to listen 100 overbearing adjectives and accolades , just a calm and honest representation of the properties plus an excellent background perspective on current conditions. Personally, being an oenophile and also lover of the sea , I might be more inclined to live along the nearest good coastal town or village and regularly visit Piedmont , I think, imho, you should include nearby coastal communities in your repertoire. Cheers from Miami Beach , joey d 🙂
Thanks so much!! I can't tell you how well-received this comment is. I really appreciate it. We're so close to the sea so you have a good solution - there's so much to see in Piedmont. Thanks again! Richard - Langhe is also fine! :-)
Thanks again for a great presentation, I always look forward to your videos and comments.
Thank you so much!!
Richard
Italy should have a multiple listing service like in the States which would make every property visible on every realtors website
Thanks!
