I can't understand why, @ 5:34 on that near-pass from L to R, your gear was down, in fact throughout the whole 1st flight?? Other than that, great plane, flying & landing!!
The attention to detail is awesome, plus the weathered look from being at sea in a salt water enviroment. I was on active duty with VF-154 Black Knights with F4-J's Phantoms. Made 1976 Westpac Bicentennial Cruise onboard USS Ranger CV-61. Brings back memories.
Another stellar build, sir! And wow that maiden was impressive. So many great memories of the F-4 growing up as a kid seeing them at airshows. One of my favorite aircraft!
That was phenomenal! The only thing that could have improved that flight would be if we could simulate the black exhaust smoke. Twin smoke trails would have been so realistic. And let's give it up for that landing!!! Pure BUTTER!!! 👏 👏 👏
Nice maiden. It flew great! Once you do the cg checks Jonathan, you should fill the tanks and publish the AUW. It would be nice to know real world weights.
Thank you. Pretty easy to figure out as we are always getting the fuel volume after the builds. So plane weighs 37 Lbs I think. 6L of fuel on board. 1.8lbs per L. So take off weight 47.8 Lbs.
Incredible RC model. Absolutely beautiful. The landings were so smooth. the best I've ever seen by an RC jet. The camera work was shaky, and I wished the camera would zoom in once in a while.
damn good break´s :) i need better ones now on my ViperJet, those break but not like that :) sure i brake on grass and i dont know how much it just looks the wheels or not for me :)
Yer take offs are not true to scale. You need to hold it on the runway longer. This is a very heavy fighter. But once aloft, oh brother it becomes a absolute fighting terror.
Thanks. I don't think the pilot cares so much about the scaleness of the take off. Especially on the maiden flight. Get her up flying for the first flight.
Could an Average Joe, (Such as Myself) with limited Model building skills, successfully put together maybe a Skymaster F4 phantom or an F14 Tomcat? I like warbirds..
Great flight...very "scale" in realism. 'Can't help my curiosity though. Are you at liberty to identify the location of this airfield? 'Looks European...like maybe Austria or Germany, maybe? Thanking you in advance.
Nice. In '72 used to watch bombed up Phantoms heading north over our Fire Base. They were all in burner: we called it the sound of freedom!
😎

Those were the days yiu guy gave your lives I thank you
Awesome Pilot flying awesome jets built by #1 Jonathan. Way to go Jonathan 👍🏻
Thanks Gregory!
Jesus that thing is fast!!!!! That's one heck of a pilot. Great job
Thanks! KOKO is a phenomenal pilot!

Gear issues on first flight so gear left down.
another awesome build and smooth flying
Thank you!
Nice to get the ‘maiden’ out of the way. Look on your face when you glanced at the camera was priceless. 😄
HAHA. Thanks John!
Absolutely Beautiful flight. Congratulations
Thanks a lot!
Great flight…scheme looks amazing congratulations again… on build/flight
Many thanks!
Another great success, very well done 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Flew great!! Congrats!!
Thanks Steve!
That Phantom took off with authority & flew beautiful & landed nice, the chute gives that extra realistic look.
Nicely built
Thank you Terry!
Fantastic weathering job👊 love planes that look used and not hanger queens. Incredible bird, thanks for the share.
Thanks a lot!
awesome and quick!! great job everyone
Thank you!
Congratulations 🥳
Thank you!!
Fact! As a young airmen in the Air Force I worked on the drogue chute and Martin Baker ejector seat in the F4 Phantom back in the early 80’s.
Perfect landings👌
😎

Thank you very much! Lots of folks seem to have so many memories of the F4. ☺
Absolutely gorgeous, couldn't have asked for better flights
Thank you!
Wow, nice flights!
Thanks! Was very satisfying!
That was awesome. I think the landings were great smooth.

Beautiful landing!
😎
Beautiful aircraft & well flown 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Really nice model.
Thanks!
Amazing flights! F4s are not easy to fly! That thing flew amazingly! One of the most stable. If I can ever afford one, you’re building it lol
Gyro
Thanks!
Interesting to see that fly considering we were talking about building one
👍😊
That was phenomenal! The only thing that could have improved that flight would be if we could simulate the black exhaust smoke. Twin smoke trails would have been so realistic. And let's give it up for that landing!!! Pure BUTTER!!! 👏 👏 👏
Thanks! Yea she’s a real beauty!
Maybe it's an E model.
I thought the same but such a sweet plane
Isn't the landing gear retractable. Probably not for its maiden flight?
Beautiful plane and landing.
Perfect take off and landing 😃✌️👍
🙌😎
That F-4 climbs like a home-sick Angel 🙂
🙌
Awesome flying
🙌
Nice 👍
Thanks ✌
I slaute you for for won hell of a display that the roar of those engines

The acceleration and braking are amazing on that thing. All it needs is two dark smote plumes like a real F4. :)
HAHA. No kidding. Some black Streams coming out the tail!😎
Id love to see a huge rc F105!
Maybe in the future!
I've been looking for an F4 phantom forever! Getting hard to find anymore for RC use
Yea there are few few manufactures that make them.
I wonder if adding weights and using less powerful turbines would give it a more realistic thrust to weight ratio
Yes but much less fun!
Incredible RC model. Absolutely beautiful. The landings were so smooth. the best I've ever seen by an RC jet. The camera work was shaky, and I wished the camera would zoom in once in a while.

Love it! Where is this field? Montana? If so, where and what’s the name?
Glacier Rcers field
Kalispell, Montana
What Kelly Said! Such a nice place!
Cool! I’ll be up that way in a couple of weeks and will swing by if it’s a flying day to take a look. 👍🍻
it dont have retracts ??
Yes.
I miss living in MT
Beautiful Place!
@@thelightersideofrc yes! Kalespell? I lived in Bozeman
👍😎
Phabulous
HAHA. I see what you did there!
I flew the F4 Phantom in the air National Guard. Yep that is how old I am.
Sweet! Very cool!
It land quite hot isn't it?😅
Yea. This size F4 Will but pretty typical on the first few flights till the owner figures out how slow they can get it.
Yer take offs are not true to scale. You need to hold it on the runway longer. This is a very heavy fighter. But once aloft, oh brother it becomes a absolute fighting terror.

Jet price brother
hard to determine as there is so many options and choices. 15K - 25K
I wish the flaps and rudder moved at the same speed as a real one.
Are the real ones slow?
Could an Average Joe, (Such as Myself) with limited Model building skills, successfully put together maybe a Skymaster F4 phantom or an F14 Tomcat?
I like warbirds..
I would say, F4 Yes. The F14 May be a fairly big challenge.

Thanks! KOKO the pilot did an amazing maiden! It's the Glaicier RC Field in Montana.
@@thelightersideofrc Outstanding! Thanks, and keep posting flight videos!
Wow, what a horrible sky for a test flight. It made me nervous just watching. Congrats.
HAHA. Thanks for watching!
