@mrvggl thanks for the note, yes with the new 1.6L Turbo engine 231HP with 6speed automatic you will certainly feel more confident with merging and highway overtake driving. With paddle shifter it’s easy to put in to lower gears when in need of more immediate power..
@@autoreviews24You're talking about Hybrid, which is yes, much more powerful. The original question was in general. And gas powertrain is underpowered. But it's not only Hyundai. Most of brands of this category are much smaller engines then previous years. Manufacturers trying to fool the buyers with lower, better fuel efficiency by reducing the engine power.
@@Vlad2277 I agree! Manufacturers are reducing engine sizes to improve fuel efficiency, but this often results in less power for gas-only vehicles. It's not just Hyundai; many brands are balancing performance with stricter emissions standards.
I have the Hyundai ‘22 gas powered model year and while it is pretty slow, driving in the highway / merging isn’t that bad tbh you don’t have to press on the accelerator that hard it’ll suffice 👍🏽
Was interested and went to dealership..looked at a row of the Tuscons and left. Couldn't see myself driving an ugly bubble/ jelly bean shaped profile vehicle.. Especially the side and back. Front looks okay.
@tedrik1346 Thanks so much for watching. Well Agree, the looks are subjective. If you like more boxy straight line design consider looking at Honda CRV or Toyota RAV4 or Mazda CX50 ..
@ozzzy3z946, Agree. This decade we will see all manufacturers inclining towards more futuristic design. And this Tucson is no different! Thanks for Watching..
In general Hyundai cars feel underpowered during merge to highway. Is that changed?

@@Vlad2277agreed, better off paying an extra ~$2k to get the hybrid version, for my next car I’ll be getting a PHEV!

I think it's attractive.
I think it’s a far better design with the sharp lines. I’m fed up of box/square SUVs
