Is This The World We Created--performed as an encore that same night, later, just Brian on acoustic guitar and Freddie singing, very intimate setting, great song. Very fitting for the occasion. 👍

Crazy Little Thing Called Love was a song Freddie wrote as a tribute to Elvis. He wrote the song in about 10 minutes while he was soaking in a bath. Brian plays 3 different guitars during this song. I love this concert, thank you for reacting to it. My favorite Queen live performance is White Queen, live at Odeon, Hammersmith 1975.

That's a great tidbit about "Crazy Little Thing Called Love"-Freddie’s tribute to Elvis is iconic, especially considering he wrote it in just 10 minutes while soaking in the bath! It's cool that Brian uses three different guitars for the performance. I love that concert too, and thanks for sharing your favorite Queen live performance-"White Queen" at the Odeon in Hammersmith '75 is a stunning choice! I'll definitely keep that in mind for future reactions!

A word of advice, if you are planning to listen to more Queen, you need to buy or borrow some headphones or earphones as they used panning from ear to ear a lot in their studio stuff and you will miss out.

72,000 people in attendance and 1.9 Billion people watching from around the world. That was 1/4 of the world at that time
Freddie performed against doctors orders with a throat infection.
He said it felt like broken glass when he sang.
When the boys left the stage The prince from Dubai donated $1 million which was a lot of money at that time.
Lie Aid made 124 million dollars for famine in Africa .

Wow, that's insane! Freddie pushing through with a throat infection, knowing it felt like broken glass-true legend stuff. The impact of Live Aid is still mind-blowing. 1.9 billion people watching, and $124 million raised for famine relief-iconic. And that $1 million donation from the prince? Just wow. What a moment in history.

Everyone says including me but first I would have to see my grandparents I never met
You made some good comments. His doctor advised him not to do the concert due to a throat in section. More Queen pls.

Thank you! I totally get that-seeing family, especially those you've never met, would be so meaningful. And yeah, Freddie performing despite the doctor’s advice is just another level of dedication. More Queen? Absolutely! There's so much to appreciate about them, from their live shows to their deep cuts. Definitely more Queen reactions coming up!

Also, if you love participation, you should really watch Rock in Rio where they sing Love of My Life. 250,000 people singing in a language that they don't know. Personally, I attended a concert in Puebla Mexico in 1981. The same exact thing happened.

That sounds incredible! I’ve heard about Rock in Rio, and “Love of My Life” with 250,000 voices in unison must’ve been unreal. The power of music crossing language barriers like that is special. And wow, attending a similar experience in Puebla in 1981? That’s something you’ll never forget. Music just brings everyone together like nothing else!

It happens today too - - You can find a "Green Day" concert where the crowd sings "Bohemian Rhapsody" in unison before the concert even starts !! you must find it! - that is just as large a crowd.

They were very close - through 20 years - they met as students and ended up in this formation. They were all well educated in music - piano lessons - singing in school choir trying out bands already as young. - late in the 60'es. They all play several instruments, have done solo work , and all four of them wrote no. 1 hits and all four are inducted in songwriters Hall of Fame . Roger and Brian have been lead singers in other constellations - made their own albums - as have Freddie - and had their own bands. Freddie wrote Bohemian Rhapsody, Crazy little Thing called Love, and We are the Champions, Roger wrote Radio Gaga, Brian wrote Hammer to Fall and We will Rock you. John wrote some of the most popular songs but they didn't really fit into this set. They were/are all academics - Freddie had a degree in art and design - and designed the bands logo - John has a degree with hons. in electrical ingeniering and has designed an amp. that Brian uses to make his guitar sound like different musical instruments - the Deaky amp. - Roger has a degree in biology. - and has a son, Rufus Tiger Taylor, who is a drummer too - he has played with Queen after Freddie died - -Roger has made several soloalbums . Brian is knighted for different accomplicements and is sir Brian - - but also has a doctorate in astrophysics and is coworking with NASA - concerning interplanetary dust.- and is an activist concerning animal welfare . His family couldn't afford a guitar - so he and his father built it themselves from bits and pieces in the house when he was 17 - and he is still playing it 90 % of the time - it's called "The Red Special" - and is unique.
I like you comment very much - but what happened to 9.48 p.m.? - - it was Brian and Freddie alone singing in the darkness - "Is this the world we created?".

Thank you for sharing such detailed insights about the band and their incredible backgrounds! It’s fascinating to see how their education and talents shaped their music and contributions. As for the moment at 9:48 p.m. with Brian and Freddie singing "Is This the World We Created?", it’s such a powerful and poignant performance, highlighting their chemistry and depth as artists. I'll keep that in mind for future comments!

The audience bought their tickets before Queen was scheduled to perform. Freddie didn't just control a room... he controlled millions. He had the power (imagine if he had gone into politics LOL)!!

But Queen didn't die, thank God, Roger and Brian - and a bass player, a percussionist, a keyboardplayer - (Who has been with the band since the -80's - also at this concert) playing when Freddie doesn't - have been touring with other singers. For the last decade they have toured with Adam Lambert - all over the world for sold out venues - so new generations are fans - as well as their parents and grandparents. Roger and Brian are now in their 70´s - .They still have Freddie with them - - holograms, you know. Try and listen to "Who wants to live forever" from 2016. - the day after a mass shooting in a gay bar. Brian and Roger had NEVER heard it like that . Adam himself is gay and dedicated the song to the victims.

You're right, a brilliant way to look at it, and besides that's the way I think Freddie would have felt too.🫶👑💙😊
