Yup! Had to take couple of recordings again, since you really can't survive it easily when theres a phylake and some 10+ other enemies upon your ass :( or the fight becomes so long that there is no point having it in a video like this...
I always find that The galatian is just out camping in the desert always with a group of lvl 38-39's which is annoying, though I'm almost lvl 37 so I'm gonna try again, the only ones I need to kill are the two lvl 40 phylakes
There was this one level 40 rebel quest I did one time, and it was when we were freeing rebels out of this bandit camp, and TWO level 40 phylakes came and my rebel friends (who were invincible because of the mission lmao) helped me kill both of them.

Logan Cluer yeah like they believe if the body is intact in the after life you’ll be intact too. So if theycaught a fade and killed somebody you got a beef with they’ll burn them or hack off their limbs
I managed to get this outfit at level 34! I found it very fun trying to kill the higher level phylakes also used cursed sword for the 2x damage but 1 bar of health!
Well I was level 35 and attacked on of the level 40 Ones (with maxed armor, on normal) and I lost 1 health bar per Bow shoot and 2 per normal hit.(I died) So how have you done this?
Nah man, you just find a ladder, you climb it and then when hes about to climb up you just hit him with a sleep dart and he takes 1000+ damage depending on how tall the ladder is, easiest way I found so far, I also killed a couple of them with a predator bow, you take the skill that makes you control the arrow so you can hide behind a rock or on a roof and he cant spot you so hes just standing and taking headshots xD
The fealing of running through the entire map to hunt down Potmely's fist after he fucked you when you thought that underleveling wasn't anything big and killing him is amazing. The phylakes are easily a top 5 thing in the game. If only they had things like shadow phylakes (dissapear from your view) and attributes like that. Oh man I love this game
I like the fact that when you’re fighting them you’re a bit higher than them in level. Shows you’re taking your time and recording as soon as you’re ready. I tried to fight them all at the same level. (Edit) Ok I take it back LOOOL I carried on watching

I killed the Outsider, rose through Alexandria and through Akra Garrison then abandoned his corpse atop his horse in the middle of the city. Then I didn’t kill another phylake till I was in Memphis, clearing out the barracks when the Stranger arrived. I was still hidden when he entered and managed to get the drop on him from above, eventually killing him by throwing a fire bomb into a couple of oil pots and hay that he was running past. I picked up his body and put it on one of the rowing boats and towed onto more open water before setting it ablaze and sinking it and the charred corpse to the bottom of the Nile. I then went back to Apollodorus Estate and confronted Ptolemys Fist. It was night and I was hidden in the bushes across form their camp, he was the only one so far that I hadn’t encountered alone but I managed to kill most of the soldiers before anyone got close enough. 1v1, I killed the Fist and took his body back to the Estate to show everyone there that the area was much safer now. I then dumped his body in the hay cart behind the pigeon tower and set light to it with fire bombs, disposing of the corpse. That’s all I’ve killed so far but I’ll probably update this as I go along lol. As you can tell I like role playing and adding my own parts to the game, such as riding around with important enemies on my horse. Or if I come across an avenge mission “where u avenge other dead players (slain brother and sisters)” I’ll pick up their body and take them to the nearest temple or place where they can be mummified and buried.

I was in Alexandria at about level 12 and I did not know if I completed that mission these guys will come.I was claiming an outpost and hthe outsider came out of know where and killed me
Tbh i cheated through all of these. I stayed on my mount the entire time and headshot them with arrows and hit them with that poison heavy blade each time i came around. Plus staying mounted helped me from getting overwhelmed by archers lol it made all these fights easier x3
My first time fighting the Outisder is a legendary experience. I’m riding on the bridge outside of Alexandria at night, I heard the horn, he saw me, so we charged at each other.
After years of not playing this game, I wanted to fishing the trials of Gods and this quest, but I’m at 9/10 Phylakes. Went around the maps twice watching this guide and couldn’t find the last one. I also have two ornamented keys so I went the route route of eliminating the Phylakes who drop the keys and still nothing. What am I missing?
Here’s a ‘nother thing. When I track the quest and switch to atlas view there’s a yellow diamond right below and to the right of Siwa. I went exploring in Isolated Desert and few other regions and still nothing.

I just started and got 2 phylakes at level 20. My strategy is stealth attack then overpower attack full meter when engaging then throw some smoke bombs and run away lmfao. I repeated that shit at least 4 times to kill those 2 phylakes

Thats the Mustapha's Blade. Random loot from treasure chests, outpost captains/commanders, papyrus puzzles, Phylakes, heka chests and rarely from normal soldiers.
I like the part where you tell Abar you killed her brothers and she has no reaction of grief, surprise, anger, anything. She just gives you a menial final task which has no significance because the crocs respawn later.
I used to be scared of the Phylakes until I realised two things: 1) you can see where they are on the map and you can just go to where they are. 2) they may be difficult to beat hand to hand, but you can catch them lacking while on a camel or horse and essentially chip away their health until they die, and they cant attack you back because they are on foot. Yeah, all those mfs were dead by the time I hit lvl 20.
It was very easy to defeat "The Hill". He was standing near a ptolemy statue and having a conflict with rebels. So, when i started to attack the rebels provided assistance and it was over within a minute😂😅
During the past 10 years, in all of my hundreds of guides for many games, I've always played on normal difficulty. This is no exception. Thats the standard most games are meant to be played at.
According to some other comments, you're not the only one. I haven't killed any yet, but I just reached level 33 (Hard difficulty), and the weapons I use are all 28+. I'll probably try the Outsider later on tonight, equipping fire bombs and taming a lion before I go.
@@tobiasreaper3650 good idea i beat the outsider at level 18 so i fought them 1 by 1 as a i leveled up but i wish i had just leveled up to like 30 something then fought them but good luck with the outsider he’s pretty tough even for a level 20
@@dali2054 a lot of it has to do with the amount of health and armor they have. Even if they aren't very strong against you if you're way above them in level, you're still looking at an opponent that has about 3x the health of a regular enemy, and the armor of a regular heavy brute. I'll probably use a legendary sickle sword I have because it's heavier than a regular. I don't normally use it because even it's light swings are pretty big for a sword, and opens me up to ranged attacks. I didn't know about the special outfit, once I get it, that will be my regular outfit, because then I will no longer have to prance around with the dead bodies, the robes say it all: I done killed all the Phylakes! Whatchya do about it b***h?
@@tobiasreaper3650 yea i finished all the phylakes at level 38 but was having a hard time with the alligators at the end since they were level 40, but the reward was so worth it and it is still one of my favorite outfits in the game and it looks so badass
The Phylakes per se are not villains, they are just doing their jobs. They don't strike me as the kind of guys who care about politics, they do their jobs and nothing more. Hell, they are not even really biased towards Bayek and Aya.
The more I think of it the more stupid it sounds. You killed 10 mercenaries of which 3 had a key and won over the last one to find an outfit. Guarding that key with their lives like the chest contained the latest Gucci item. Honestly we should have killed the mercenaries for the sake of protecting not to find clothes. Or maybe just an overall better reward.

@@ranberzori788 still same problem. I believe I killed the last one and didn’t confirm the kill. I started a new game to see if that solves the problem.

The thing that I do is assassinate the phylakes and if he did not die yet I try to hide and assassinate again.That was the best method for low level.

I just started and got 2 phylakes at level 20. My strategy is stealth attack then overpower attack full meter when engaging then throw some smoke bombs and run away lmfao. I repeated that shit at least 4 times to kill those 2 phylakes
You can throw a smoke bomb behind them the stealth attack twice

There is an achievement/trophy for killing them, I forgot the name of it, think it's called against all authority or something like that.

Thats the Mustapha's Blade. Random loot from treasure chests, outpost captains/commanders, papyrus puzzles, Phylakes, heka chests and rarely from normal soldiers.

I like the part where you tell Abar you killed her brothers and she has no reaction of grief, surprise, anger, anything. She just gives you a menial final task which has no significance because the crocs respawn later.

You do get the fire and poison ability though if you bring in medallions which helps out massively in boss fights.
I used to be scared of the Phylakes until I realised two things:
1) you can see where they are on the map and you can just go to where they are.
2) they may be difficult to beat hand to hand, but you can catch them lacking while on a camel or horse and essentially chip away their health until they die, and they cant attack you back because they are on foot.
Yeah, all those mfs were dead by the time I hit lvl 20.
I just stay at far distant and use Predator Bow with fire arrows. after their health drops below 30% then I fight them.
It was very easy to defeat "The Hill". He was standing near a ptolemy statue and having a conflict with rebels. So, when i started to attack the rebels provided assistance and it was over within a minute😂😅
I found the chest before I killed all phylakes! Lucky me :)

According to some other comments, you're not the only one. I haven't killed any yet, but I just reached level 33 (Hard difficulty), and the weapons I use are all 28+. I'll probably try the Outsider later on tonight, equipping fire bombs and taming a lion before I go.
@@tobiasreaper3650 good idea i beat the outsider at level 18 so i fought them 1 by 1 as a i leveled up but i wish i had just leveled up to like 30 something then fought them but good luck with the outsider he’s pretty tough even for a level 20
@@dali2054 a lot of it has to do with the amount of health and armor they have. Even if they aren't very strong against you if you're way above them in level, you're still looking at an opponent that has about 3x the health of a regular enemy, and the armor of a regular heavy brute. I'll probably use a legendary sickle sword I have because it's heavier than a regular. I don't normally use it because even it's light swings are pretty big for a sword, and opens me up to ranged attacks. I didn't know about the special outfit, once I get it, that will be my regular outfit, because then I will no longer have to prance around with the dead bodies, the robes say it all: I done killed all the Phylakes! Whatchya do about it b***h?
@@tobiasreaper3650 yea i finished all the phylakes at level 38 but was having a hard time with the alligators at the end since they were level 40, but the reward was so worth it and it is still one of my favorite outfits in the game and it looks so badass

The Phylakes per se are not villains, they are just doing their jobs. They don't strike me as the kind of guys who care about politics, they do their jobs and nothing more. Hell, they are not even really biased towards Bayek and Aya.

The more I think of it the more stupid it sounds. You killed 10 mercenaries of which 3 had a key and won over the last one to find an outfit. Guarding that key with their lives like the chest contained the latest Gucci item. Honestly we should have killed the mercenaries for the sake of protecting not to find clothes. Or maybe just an overall better reward.
