Clearly we need to have 2 disasters as an elite version of this, one where that you have to fight multiple disaster events trying to split the Empire into more and more zones of Rome (Clearly to make Rome work, we need to have a Decarchy of different Romes) and the second is where the Mightiest of Hordes led by the Heir of Attila and Genghis Kahn spawns in either America or Asia with Uber Armies.
"Imperator, we've lost all the legions, the economy is in shambles, God is dead, and new plagues are sweeping the empire." >"Senator, our streets are paved with gold, everything is going to be a-okay"
Have you seen "The Odd Empires mod"? I have played and enjoyed it much recently. I restored Rome as Messina and this mod has a very interesting approach to it. It starts by restoring a Hellenism and then through some religions conflicts inside your country you gain the new Neo-Roman culture (or smt like that). Then game gives you insane modifiers for conquest and culture conversion (and tells you that your culture is pure roman but it's not important). Anyway, i think the interesting thing is that you have a bit more challenges and disasters and i think it would fit into your mod for Rome. Also I think you would enjoy "The odd empires" mod if you played it.
Fair; but I have to say I really dislike the 'disasters are content' approach to Eu4: too many anbennar missions seem hellbent on self balancing by adding disasters for coughing wrongly
For the last mission, I think to make it seem a little fairer, you could do something similar to Post Finem’s Rome, where you get the reward *until* the province gets sieged. It’d make sense any foreign adversaries in the city might be interested in sacking the entire city- and, if they do, there wouldn’t be much left.
I was thinking of doing that, but I think given that an earlier mission requires you to have x10 the army of every other nation, and you only gain buffs from there, the only chance the province gets sieged is if you get some random event spawn rebels that also auto occupy the province they spawn on (think court and country particularists) and frankly it seems unfair to lose a province that way
It really pisses me off that Byzantium doesnt get ANY cores out of its mission tree whatsoever, all it gets is the base cores it has on de jure greece and thats it, otherwise just claims. It really should AT LEAST get cores on western anatolia since it was reformed out of the Nicean empire which held that land not too long ago- I'm sure there's plenty of cores in the game that are older.
@@Ragatokk They kinda do get claims on western rome thru the actual mission tree, but yeah them having absolutely 0 cores outside of de jure greece is ridiculous.
@@LemonCake101 tbh i think it depends on which dev designed the mission tree/country in the newer dlc''s lol, look at the horde mission trees vs aztec/incas
Rome should be formed with the main core provinces, then having its earlier missions be about reconquering territory and settling a few grudges (subjugating Persia, making sure G*rmany is a barren wasteland just to be sure...)
Oh, fascinating! Maybe you should sign up for Ancient Architecture 101. The Romans practically turned cultural borrowing into an art form-they took everything from the Greeks. Pantheons, military tactics, culture, art, music, architecture...you name it. So, when you say other countries are "copying the Romans," it’s almost adorable. You might want to brush up on who borrowed from whom!
@@LemonCake101 Oh, I can be lazy, too! Let’s just call it “Greco-Roman” and keep it simple. But if we’re getting technical, buildings like Buckingham Palace and the White House? Those are actually *neoclassical*.

This is an insane mission tree. Truly worthy of Rome.
If it doesn't take at least 1 minute to scroll down the missions tree, then it's not a proper mission tree.
I didn’t want to add pointless missions that ask you to dev a random province twice and build a workshop

I do not follow the Anbennar design philosophy
@ Good, as much as I like playing Anbennar, playing as Dwarves solo is cancer and should not affect other mods.
A world conquest sounds like the first step of the mission tree
More of a step 4, but yes :)

this is just like the average paradox mission and focus tree tbh (the average opm mission tree giving 594983 dev cost, highest american tech be like)
I would say I made it less OP then some to be honest, but I put the challenge in!

What can I say sometimes the lemon trees need a trim
There should be a protestant or reformed path, just in case someone forms a reformed roman empire
