@CouchCoop128 I have most of the power ups and weapons, I havnt really started the main campaign yet. I know it's gonna get difficult, so I'm powered up and ready
Here is my summation as a outsider. Full disclosure never played Rage 2 (have no interest). Rage was fun world with amazing weapons and had some fallout, borderlands humor and mad max feel. All things worked to make the game better then the sum of its parts even with one of the worst endings in gaming I would of given Rage 1 a solid B or 7/10. As for Rage 2 it had very little soul of the original, far more car combat then anyone who got the first game wanted, and had the depth of a puddle. (seen numerous LP's and in depth reviews from ACG or Skill Up and Noisy Pixel to name but a few). So it walks a fine line of staying close to the original with adding new stuff the players wanted... and I think Rage 2 struggles with both. Agree Mr Cooper on the Publishing they marketed this and got the word out in a awful awful fashion. I enjoyed the watch and your take on the game :)
Got the plat on this playing on PS5 last year. Loved it. Didn't care for the campaign story but the world and gameplay were awesome. The voice of the car cracks me up every time. You also didn't point out that the sound is incredible. The guns sound better than they do in the Quake and newer Doom games!
Got the platinum for this. I did mess up and needed to play through twice, but either way the game was decent. It did remind me a lot of Borderlands. Great video. It's a nitpick but you only mention that Rage came out on 360, when it came out on far more than that. Just feels odd to only mention one platform.
Another solid review! . . . These smaller channels are way better than IGN & Gameranx etc. I hope the TH-cam algorithm chooses you and you hit the 1 million sub mark cause your content is top tier quality. Thank you! 😎 🇳🇿
Coop mate, you are a legend. I'm still playing days gone because of your recommendation. Its soooo good. I've always had my eye on this one. Can't wait to give it a go now. Free on ps plus extra in Australia
man.....it will make your eyes bleed! cheers for nice comment, days gone's story is getting tear jerking now ...beware 🤣, let me know if you try Rage2, just released they both have permanent companion vehicles
This got review bombed, and yea, im gonna say you probably played a part in that, people just pushing out vids of games they havent completed is hurting games in a big way, glad you went back to it
The first Rage was a new engine designed with that game in mind. The sequel paled in comparison despite the colorful pallete. But that was part of the issue for me. The pinks. The art style just seemed trendy at the time and turned me off. Might give it another shot one day.
This game is proof that do not rely on reviews. As a relative new gamer (3rd year) gems like this ✨️ are overlooked if i listen to reviews. This is serious fun🎉
I enjoyed the game. Its okay. Your character should have some of the upgrades earlier or to start off with and then build on top of that. Playing on pc the drving sucked. I don't really accept the arguement that keyboard and mouse can't have better driving. It can, it was literally better in the mad max game.
Yeah same here I played like an hour or 2 of this then just stopped. Not cause wasn’t fun I really don’t know. But yeah I need to get back to it. Still think rage 1 is so much better
Great gameplay, unfortunately it also features a very bland world and fuzzy graphics on consoles. Seriously needs an update. If you took the gunplay from R2 and mixed it with the world of R1 you'd have a serious hit on your hands!
Guess what, yup…. Another one on the pile of shame 😮 the previews and reviews were pretty positive if I remember correctly. So then, another one to get back to.
@@CouchCoop128 ha, you have no idea of the scale of the problem, actually, you probably do. It’s less of a problem now as I stopped buying new games about a year ago as I thought enough is enough. The other problem is that I find a game I love, like death stranding, generation zero, CB 2077 etc and play them for 150+ hours which takes potentially months, for example, I played ‘The Saboteur’ on release for three months straight as I took my time and did everything and so three months of new games which I may have picked up didn’t get played. Then, maybe a week after The Saboteur was completed, the latest game gets released and I play that instead of any games I picked up in the previous three months. That pattern happened for the entire PS3/PS4 era ! So, here we are and I have so many great games ready to play and your videos remind me of that fact 😂 a nice problem to have.
you've mentioned the saboteur before right? In the Mafia review? I want to play Red Faction again ! As for the 150 hours ..few games get that from me, Monster hunters etc obvs, Ive actually cloaked 200+ in Apex legends of all things, single player offline stuff, Elden I thinking I'm approaching 100+ and remanet from the ashes 2 will also get there ! Starfield also but that's cos i hang about doing slow pans , !
@@CouchCoop128 my love for the Saboteur knows no bounds. It has everything I love about gaming and is quite possibly the least Woke and Politically correct game in existence. It has Nazi’s, a swearing drinking Irishman, breasts, a slutty blond heroin, guns, silent murdering, fast cars…. And what other game allows you to snog a lady fifty times to get a trophy?. Also, the ending was tragically spectacular. Sadly they don’t make games like that anymore, can you imagine a remake? the ‘tick box police’’ would turn it into something completely different. Anyhow, I’m looking forward to Death Stranding 2, the first one was so great (for me) and with a few additional tweaks and further exploration opportunities (like breaking into and scavenging from derelict buildings etc) it could be perfect.

The only thing that let's the game down for me is the story, everything else is awesome
weirdest story ! and the clef pallet thing !
Been playing this all night and its awsome. Damn shame some critics was throwing shade without giving this a fair, honest shot
You got that boss out the way ? Things go crazy after that

i didn't speak about the sound! and point well made ! the mutant tv noise...also, the music/announcer/shotgun...all comes together !
Never gave it a chance because of the bad reviews. But now you made me wanna try it out.
first 5mins,,,you'll be like...why didn't i play this !

im really bias with that 360 stuff, I always forget the other platforms, I am looking forward to end game and some of those monster vehicles !

Days Gone is wicked. One of the best games they've given away on PlayStation Plus. Brilliant story and characters.
My God, that hidden ending.
@@renrook4548 Its actually incredible that gm, I'm enjoying it so much
I really enjoyed both rage games
I think the first one doesn’t get enough credit, I’d love to see a remake 😮

it looked so ahead of its time on the 360 ! the intro with the interiors and great AI ! loved it
Just beat the game and it was fun. I have to see if there's dlc
End game is sooooo good, I think there is some dlc, but it may be already on disc?
@CouchCoop128 I'll check. I havnt played rage 1, I might check it out.
i had to dust off the 360 to get that going, could be one of the more impressive looking games on that system @@Tiger-makhulu

I genuinely appreciate the comment and view, im actually still playing it, came on gamepass so I looked at the PC version .....runs even better !
I’d love to see this get a PSVR2 mode/port!
would probably have better resolution!

how on earth you managed those chase combat scenes on mouse and keyboard !
@@CouchCoop128 can't remember, probably just adapted to the controls and pushed through failed attempts.
After finishing Rage 2, I'm playing through again and still finding new stuff. Game rocks
its an amazing game still! appreciate the comment 🙏

I enjoyed the first one a lot, although it did seem to end a bit abruptly. I remember there being very little fanfare when this one came out.
They should remaster that first one !
Reminds me a bit of Borderlands but without the comic style
quite a lot darker ! how's phantom liberty going ?
