Recently I started watching your channel. Tried bottle gourd chutney. We all liked it. Came across this soup. I also make. But as you've shown I don't cook separately. I soak barley for more than 4 hours ,grind and add in the soup and boil along with vegetables. It cooks faster as we soak plus lesser vessels to wash. 😊

Soak the cleaned barley over the night and boil with more water. Strain and take the barley water plainly.

Barley must be soaked for at least 1/2 hour and water must be drained out or it must be fried to remove phitic acids
