    • @denyarwing
      @denyarwing 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very true!
      The unique map making, beautiful dungeons and music...
      But it's also difficult to get people into the series due to the difficulty... I've had quite a few friends try EO1 and most never even got past the second floor... only one made it to Fafnir and then gave up completely.

    • @UmatsuObossa
      @UmatsuObossa 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@denyarwing true EO1 is brutal at times, but if it's too much for beginners, I found that EO3 was a little bit more 'fair', and the 3DS entries are all markedly easier even on their hardest difficulties...but if that's still too hard for some, well...the 3DS entries have easier difficulties! Personally, I find the difficulty one of my favorite and most fulfilling parts, because you can always succeed on your next try with better strategy, and armed with what you learned from your failures. It's never truly unfair in its difficulty, it only punishes carelessness.

    For me, Fantasy Life has become replacements for open world RPGs like the elder scrolls. Yes, of course both are far different title, but the exploration, the freedom, and the sense of pride when progressing the Life ranks higher feels on par, and they are really exciting to be done. I remember that when I reach Hero rank of alchemist life, King Erik congratulated and thanked me for providing the Kingdom with a steady supply of potions, even though I don't lol, which is why on my new pure alchemist run I sold potions to the general store daily. This kind of thing is what makes Fantasy Life a beautiful and exciting game I think.

    Fantasy Life! I definitely recommend it! Back in the day a friend recommended it to me to play coop, I wasn't all that convinced but since I had spare change I just bought it, best blind purchase of my life, I ended playing it for 50 hours and I remember I didn't even finished all the missions, I even bought the DLC and didn't had access to it because I still doing the base game stuff, this game is HUGE. Oh and also the OST composed by non other than Nobuo Uematsu, the composer of early Final Fantasy games, it was so catchy and fun. The only bad thing is that people that own the dlc can't play online with those that doesn't have it and so I couldn't play with my friend anymore, that is so dumb.
    Also thanks for reminding me of LBX, I was trying to remember the name of this game the other day, I want to give it a try someday.

    You want a horror game that makes EXCELLENT use of headphones? Corpse Party, that 3D audio is STILL immersive enough to send chills down my spine when it sounds like a character is standing right behind me and whispering into my ear. No matter how many times I play through it.

    Super Street Fighter got all the hype, especially since it released on launch. DoA never got enough recognition, especially with what happened in Japan and its launch...
    But as someone who's really into SSFIV, I have to admit that DoADimensions is far superior on the 3DS. Sad nowadays you find spammers and challengers on SSFIV3D but nothing when you go online on Dead or Alive.
    I had to get the cartridge and collect it because it's more than worth it to be honest. Beautiful cover, great booklet and obviously an incredible game (story and all).

    I remember both Driver and Dillon being disappointments, because:
    Driver: In the DS version of Driver you could get off the car, use all kinds of weapons and mess around the city in free mode, you can't do that on the 3DS.
    Dillon: The enemy types were the exact same as the ones from The Last Ranger, a game I played several years earlier for $11.
    Not only that, but stages were significantly smaller, compared to those of that game, in The Last Ranger it truly felt like you were fighting the world due to the size of the stage.
