My relatives in the provinces always mentioned to close the windows and lock it if their wives or a woman in the family is pregnant because there might be a chance that an Aswang would take (eat) the unborn baby. Just gonna share a short "Aswang" story of my sister where she worked night shifts on a rural hospital in Palawan. *insert creepy music * In their bedroom quarters there was a window near her room and she always closed that window before going on her shift. She kept wondering why there are times that it was fully open after returning from her shift and the only other personnel that enters their bedroom quarters besides medical staffs were the janitors of the hospital, the following day she asked the janitors if they open the window near her bedroom when they clean, they said no, she also asked other medical staffs if they open the window when they go to the bedroom quarters, they also said no. My sister noticed that the only time that the window opens is when my sister's colleague would take a nap in her bedroom when they take turns on their shift. Her colleague was 2-3 months pregnant at that time. In case you were wondering what floor their bedroom quarters were, it was on the 4th floor.
