Both my parents are artists. I ended up doing law and my brother is an accountant. How else do you rebel!
Yes, because you are an Asian.
I'm an Asian myself and I am a comic artist while my parents work in a law firm. Just the opposite.
@@adrianhiisssthecat3795 You are secretly a disappointment to your parents, they dont say it.....but they feel it
@@Arifeenn Who are you to judge? We get along just fine. Life is tough and some societies make it even worse. Plus, my parents already knew my life journey well enough and they still love me. Not all Asians are ultra-competitive, in my case is just a little disadvantaged.
@@Arifeenn You can't judge how someone's parents feel about them over the internet? You haven't even met the person
They’re like an artsy Addams Family.
Just run of the mill Swedes.
Or American cousins to that German Sprockets guy Mike Myers played.
No.
An Artsy Adams family that are vegan and crazy.
Just saw the trailer for the new movie.
Elon Musk, Grimes and their Child in a near future...
i wish this was a joke
So funny!
He better make it to the moon before going cray cray
I'll PayPal a buck to anyone who can type in their kid's name without googling

How i feel trying to learn tonal languages.
Cue me trying to figure out gendered words in German. Ein, eine, what?
@@fudgel1126 or French: une porte? Un télévision ?
Do I have missed this "misspelled offense för 5 years"?! It's Nåny, Nunä, Nönä in Swedish and not like Oden's korps name either Hugin and Munin, my father told me this when I was a little girl 😂😂😂Love from Sweden
@@fudgel1126😅 die den der das dem
maya rudolph and fred armisen are geniuses
You mean ganius
no, that would actually be 'ganiuses' lol
Yes, yes they are
They are😊 I am the 900th like👍

So the Eurovision movie on Netflix tells the story of how Nuni became a famous singer?
This sketch was the first thing I thought of when I saw the Eurovision trailer.
Yes!!
But Nuni's an artist?
I love how he answers the door by saying “please?” 😂
ARE WE GONNA SLEEP ON THE FACT THAT SHE CASUALLY JUST CALLS THEM GREASY AND SHOE-SHINE
That audience sure did. 😂 But I caught it. It was great!
One of The best lines
Not a big deal, you can calm down
“sleep on” has to be the dumbest phrase now. 🙄
Literally best line
Maya looks like Sia
Maya - Sia, it rhymes
HAHAHAHAHAHHHAHA SIA
Im waiting for her to sing hahaha
She looks like Nuni.
Lol
“It’s making my body grow” lol
lmaooooo best part
My mother and I are both widowed artists sharing a home. At this very moment, I swear to you, there is a beautiful antique barber chair in our living room! Too funny! 🤣
Wait, what? Nooo! 🤣
Maya Rudolph's control over her voice is really remarkable... her range is the spoken equivalent of her mother's singing voice
"next year, I'm going to buy a goldfish" *Laughs hysterically *
this is a song about insecurity when your body change
Lol
Fast forward to 2017 Big Mouth :D
@@ZehraDogru0 foreshadowing moment
That song was actually pretty catchy
B CG and relatable
Why so short!
sounds like the cure and the smiths
@@angiemonroymusic sounds more like the first thing that came to the writer's mind when seeing the "crap song" part of the script.
Maya's dress legitimately looks like something on sale at the moment🤢😂
wayyyyy too true
zara sskkskss
Sad thing is you're not even exaggerating! Has anyone seen the "Walking Wish List" outfit in Cardi B's Fashion Nova line?? 😂😂 It's a perfect example! I swear I think half of these designers are just fucking with us. Seeing how ridiculously stupid they can make an outfit and consumers will still buy it...for a crazy price at that! Smh... Meanwhile the designers are laughing all the way to the bank.
Her outfit looks like something Balemciaga would make.
Yeah its actually a trend now lol
Genius. It manages to lightheartedly make fun of both ‘weird’ and ‘normal’ people. Makes you think who is really being themselves and who is being pretentious. It also makes you think why some people go out of their way to be perceived as ‘quirky’ and why they might be like that. The bit at the end where they all head to the beach with their helmets, and yet say “Last one in the water is rotten.” , like any other ‘normal’ family, but in their own way, great touch.
Geen-yus*
These art dealers look like a cool bunch
what a musical ganius!
better than most of the crap they make today
aaah when real comedy existed back in the blissful 2014 era
Greasy & Shoeshine think so too!
It's musical gaynius
You're so intelli-gent...
If Tommy Wiseau and Bjork were a couple.
I love that seths chair is just a massage chair but he was still like wtf
I see it more a joke on artsy types than foreign languages.
So, you didn't read the title or did you read something else? The title of the sketch is the Art Dealers: Their son, Nuni. Emphasis on Art.
Claire Akers right? This comment makes no sense
Like weird contemporary modern art ppl...not just artsy, theres tons of different kinda artsy ppl
Vhat zee fuck?
@@domwalter6474 Many comments were about it 'mocking foriegn cultures'. I think they were deleted. Also IIRC the title was changed to clear this up but wasn't 2 years ago when op posted.

Laughing At Maya Ostensibly
Tito is the best part of this sketch. He is so creepy plus so adorable.
Double True!
They are way less pretentious than actual art dealers.
i love this sketch but it would be so funny if andy samburg played their son but he was like a normal teenager haha
Omg that would actually be hilarious 😂
This was made in season 30, a year before Samburg was a cast member.
@Jonathan Cameron herpes is pretty funny
I graduated design school, and went to work for an artsy furniture company, and it felt .... so much like this, down to the weird chairs and strange words that all sound the same 😂
I will say this. As weird as Nuni, Nuni, Nuni, and Tato might be, at least they're friendly.
But its just so awkward. The beauty of it.
"Greese" and "Shoeshine" seem like they're really enjoying their visit.
I love this. My husband and 4 kids are all artists and I think this is what people feel like when they come to our house because they have that sort of bemused expression on their face as they take it all in
That's funny Mrs Zweezoo
@@Mike-bp2hh dude you cracked me up 🤣
Susan doesn't get her face on the screen since the chair goes up lol
Did you mean "Zwizou" ? Common mistake, don't worry.
***** good one
Her ankles look really swollen - she shouldn't be flying at such altitudes
You mean ShoeShine
Brilliant. Everyone in character without the obvious reading of the cards.
Maya Rudolph is a true national treasure
“Greasy shoeshine” that really got me!
This character's accent must've been the inspiration for Maya and Kristen's characters in the Super Showcase sketch. Love it
Artsy Scandinavians 😂😂😂
I think they're supposed to be German. Not Scandinavian but nice try.
@@arsewell Definitely got Scandinavian vibes as well. German artsy people are either very bland or very brand if you get my drift.
Very Danish lol.
No, it’s very finnish
verιтaѕ vιтae will Ferrell’s accent is spot on Swedish/Norwegian. I was like holy shit he’s good and then I learned his wife is Swedish and he has a house there
Greasy ... shoeshine - best line ever .
Fred Armisen was the best part of that, and he didn't have enough lines
I lost it at 3:07 when Seth touched the chair and the cushion thingy fell off 💀
i don't think that was planned
My favorite couple.
I love this skit cause it’s uniquely positive. So many SNL skits are more less picking on somebody. It lovingly points out how uptight most of us are without scorn. Ghenius!
Ferrell is proper eighties Flock of Seagulls here.
At last, an _accurate_ Flock of Seagulls hair reference. 😁 (Shame on you, Quentin Tarantino, for popularizing random, inaccurate uses of the quip.)
“Here comes the autobus” made me chuckle
2:34 Nuni's pelvic thrust with bulging golden shorts is cute and hilarious! LOL
lol everybody's in this sketch ..... Maya, Fred, Seth, Rachel, Will and Chris ..... This sketch is amazing
Seth's accident at 3:07
Oooops!
100% read "accent" and watched it a few times like "he doesn't speak.." xD
Yup, but he handled it like a pro, reacting as his character.
Love! 😊😂 When SNL’s cast members were also actually fun personalities who could act, and watching the show’s reruns through the summer was still a worthwhile thing.
musical ghenius
Them trying to pronounce Susan had me in real tears😂😂
4:01 "Greasy, Shoeshine," i can't breathe
These old SNL are goldddd
Urchin meat is called Uni😂
How I feel when I walk into ikea
These are my favorite skits of all time. When I’m down I watch Nuuni ❤️❤️❤️
which one?
I wish they had more of these- they are SO hilarous - and the furniture is beyond brilliant.
"Greasy , Shoeshine!" Just got that!!! LOL
this is one of my all-time favourite snl sketches
This might be my favorite Maya Rudolph accent!
"haaaaAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAA!"
"Child, what is wrong?"
Eyyyy momma I’m hongry

4:13 basically sums up my year so far
4:13 Will's wail of anguish is so powerful.

That "Dancing in the mirror" song sounds catchy af and would totally chart in 2020
Chris Parnell is so wonderful.
Wow, 15 years later and this is still weird as hell!
Haha
One of the most talented casts in SNL history
5:30 "Let's go Posan". Anybody else catch that?! LMAO🤭😂✌💚
One of my favorite Maya Rudolph skits. Fred is great too!
My name is Susan and my nickname as a kid was Nuni.... 😂 I am dying
Such good people. They didn't even get mad when the guest broke their chair with with face hole.
They seem like a lovely family they get along and they are friendly to the neighbors and more Americans should be like that
"i will tickle you!" LMAO!!
OMG Will Farell's Entrance LOL
This is how Americans see Europeans.
How none of them broke character is amazing.
Ah … the nuni and nunus… an snl most memorable classic
Nunni, Nuini and Nuni
You know it’s an old sketch when Seth is in it 😂
Golly I love the costume/makeup on Maya and Fred.
I miss these sketches!

Will Ferrell one of the best!
Love it - this is great - bring them back!!!
Not Nuni III wearing Mango’s sequin hoo-ha shorts 🤭
HILARIOUS!
They look like giant crosses between: Bjork, ABBA, Star Wars characters AND lysergic acid! LOL.
“Let’s go Posen” underrated line
His song - I used to sing it all the time 😂😂😂😂
Fred and Maya together.. Absolute MADNESS.
I eatch these every few months as these are one of the last videos i showed my best friend befoee he passed. I can just hear him cracking up now at "nuni loves beef paste!!" 😂😂
*Throws cereal on floor*
BOOM, ART
"Who wants to change the subject?"
Fav SNL episode so far😂
He's a musical gaenius!
Greg calls Susan "Posen" on the way out
I caught that
yeah i heard that too
I loved Nuuni, Noonie and Nüuni!
Such an amazing cast.
the way maya pronounces "nuni" lives in my head free, much like nuni does
