Repair/Restoration: Philips CD i 450

The Philips CD-i format sounded great... on paper. However like VHS vs BETA, Philips backed the wrong horse and FMV turned out not to be the way forward. However by the time this leason was learned, Philips had released a number of different systems.
I bought mine remotely from France, but without a power supply or controller. How difficult can this be?
