Great to see some love for Kriegsspiel. Feel invited to join the IKS and play various different periods and command levels, either live or play by post. Command Post Games are friends of ours.
I really enjoyed seeing what you've done with Brandy Station. Of course, you can proxy a few Antietam brigade blocks for the Monmouth map. After having but never playing it with the Pub Battles blocks, I find that playing it with the brigade blocks lends a very chess like feel to the game. I play it double blind solo. Meaning I play as if each side only knew what they could possibly know. Not playing to win, but playing to see what happens. I see that IPMatin has already shouted out my channel. Cheerio, my friend.
Nice video. May have to get this one. Btw, what is that name of that tune at the end of your video? Sounds familiar, have not heard this song for a long time!
Hello, sorry to ask this question on this video but it is your latest. What ever came of your 2mm TYW armies? Did you ever game with them? What rules did you use? Your 2 videos have been extremely helpful to me. I purchased 4 armies from IrrM based on your excellent suggestions and basing. Any further videos or advice on the subject would be fantastic. My 2 ECW and 2 TYW (Swedes&Imperialist) armies arrived today. I need help with understanding the formations. There is alot of nonsense and repeated info out there. Cheers
A secomd more in depth ( and a channel recommendation) I have 0 time for actual painting ( kids, job, etc. ) I find the pub battle system easy. I even did a modified version for barbarossa, it works extremely well. I made my own games ( bautzen, leipzig, etc ) Its a very cheap to make in time, money etc Best thing is: non wargamer love it It looks Awesome, its very easy to play. The "lack of rules" allows for your own story / immersive play ( you dont have to check chhapter 3747 alinea 3737 paragraph 363 tome 2, edition 3.3.3.3.e1 ) Anyway. I am a big fan, because it fits my needs I guess. Channel: solo battle. Mike is a rule tester. Subscribed good sir! Have a great week ahead.
Not sure you got my reply after replying to your reply. I watched your video on Berestechko 1651 (of which I am a great fan of this 17th century era and region). I ordered it! Keep up good work on your channel!
@gre8132 the kriegspiel book i picked up 25+ years ago....these are not in print now but you may pick one up second hand on ebay or equivalent. Too fat lardies produce lots of kriegspiel related material so worth checking there also :)
