That’s the idea and main goal I have with these, to just showcase how much work went into this games soundtrack and how brilliant Kaufman is, it appeals to my game history brain and the ideal of having people use these videos for teaching themselves! The file for this games ost (in .NSF format) are all available from a free download on Kaufman’s bandcamp and I can’t recommend enough getting them yourself and playing around with the GEP in foobar yourself! (Will need the game emu player add on for that though)!

Just yesterday I was listening to the chao garden theme from sonic adventure 2 on repeat analyzing the different tracks, which is probably why TH-cam suggested this video XD I never realized how much effort goes into the music until I tried focusing on each individual part instead of just listening to the melody. That's why I like how you end this video with all of the tracks except the melody and then added the melody in.

@@catgirlcallie it stands for Delta Modulation Channel and is primarily used as an auxiliary sound effects producer on the NES, there’s a great video that goes more into it here. In the tracker Virt used DPCM is translated to DMC th-cam.com/video/mJnz6dEWwIw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QbgHZvnLnGg6Z831
@@rayfer. Kaufman was gracious enough as to allow for anyone to download the .NSF file of Shovel of Hope on his bancamp page (you have to use the wayback machine however). Using foobar 2000 and gameemu player I just seperate the GEP into its parts and arrange them as so, I should really get to making that introductory video
@@Boney9551ah I see. I was looking for a way of ripping each instrument of most of the soundtrack to use them in famitracker or whatever. Would you recommend me recording each instrument playing one note, and then putting that into daw and into a sampler or is there like a easier way? Thx btw
