Maybe he was oriented by some kinda of vocal coach, in order to preserve his voice he shouldve sing more in his controled range, since theyve been writting very high pitched vocal choruses in the last studio albums. Idk, just a thought

Anyone have any clue why sam has been singing octave lower choruses recently? Mostly on the very high choruses songs, like Royal Beggars
Sam is 33 years old, he doesn't have the endurance of his youth, he needs to be more restrained

He's definately doing it to preserve his voice.
singing that high is very straining physically and he might be just tired or saving his voice
