Everyone compares Features & Specs. But no one compares after Sales ownership experience. To change Dominar's Air-filter, one has to disassemble the whole petrol tank area. That's poor engineering. Also no Bajaj service center readily changes it. The owner has to insist, only then, but they charge extra labour charges for that as it takes almost 45-50 mins to remove petrol tank ,change air filter and assemble it back. I own an AS200 and a Gixxer. I know both sides. Please don't delete my comment. It's a feedback.
I was brought FZS 25 7month before. Its really fun to ride. You can easily cruse 90 to 110kms ph hour all day with out any problem. Engine refinement is super. Power and Torque out put is awesome. Its a torque nature bike according to INDIAN ROAD Condition. No necessity of 6th gear because of long gear ratio. Suspension is slight harder and ground clearence is not perfect....just 160mm...Its irreatating for road bumps.....Other wise its a perfect touring mechine. Afterall its YAMAHA. Engine relaibility is more more better than BAJAJ.....

@@SachinKumar-cc1eu Yamaha FZ25 comes with new BSIV compliant oil-cooled 249 cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine and this not a shit. Apache is a a very good VFM product but Yamaha reliability, parts quality everything is good. We are taking about 250cc machine not a 200cc machine.
Not a biased review!! FZ is oil cooled and smooth riding, though the bhp is low it does good on local and highway commuting for a good rider. In the case of Pulsar cost wise it's bit on the higher side as the power is 6ps more ,liquid cooled with USD forks and 6 speed gear box. Service if done with a genuine dealer, is the best bike in this segment. After service always matters!! Weight of Yamaha is 27 kgs less.
@@BikeWaleOfficial I disagree. Bajaj's basic labour charge is same for Dominar and other similar Japanese bikes. But there is one big problem, ie. Bajaj service centers avoid cleaning/changing Air-filters on Duke derived engines, both 200 & 400 cc, as it is required to completely remove petrol tank in order to access the Air-filter, which takes up time & effort. Plus they charge extra for it. Speaking from my own experience. 🙂

Bajaj always focus on power. That's the reason "With great power great engine burst come"😭. Even dominor 400 are not durable plz do check vedios available on TH-cam. Where yamaha is about pure engineering choose wisely after all money is your's. I am a Fz owner sharing my genuine feedback thank you.
Being a 2018 Yamaha FZ25 BS4 (Non-ABS) owner, I can proudly say that except the Oil Filter's Price i.e. 178 Rs compared to other's 74 Rs/35 Rs/44 Rs, I totally disagree with Bikewale's notion of higher cost of Yamaha parts... It's parts are comparatively sturdier and are almost priced the same as of D250... and yeah... Yamaha is way more smooth even with an outdated engine... and it is marketed as a no-nonsense quarter litre offering as compared to other competitors. Yamaha... All day.... Everyday ! 🔥 Yes... Yamaha 👍🏻
Quality of Yamaha and Bajaj is something you missed out on .... Bajaj has improved but Yamaha levels of quality are yet to be seen... This review seems biased towards Bajaj... 🙏
FZ25 is still faster to accelerate from 0-100kmph than Dominar250!!.. This is inspite of just 20.5bhp vs 26.5bhp!!.. Yes in the top speed & higher cruising speed Dominar250 is superior.. FZ25 is 21K cheaper than the Dominar 250.. FZS25 is 15K cheaper than the Dominar 250.. The Yamaha is an all-round everyday bike that is for occasional highway use and primary city use.. It also is a better cornerer.. The Dominar is for users who atleast spend 50% of their rides on highways n don't mind managing additional 28kgs over FZ25 n big wheelbase n turning radius in city.. all of this makes it a cumbersome city bike.. while these factors make the bike a better highway bike!
Less weight : Yamaha Better for city : Yamaha Better Mileage : Yamaha 0-60 and even 0-100 kmph : Yamaha Heat management : (Laughs) Yamaha is just oil cooled but still better than dominar which has liquid cooling ON PAPER SPECS DOES NOT REFLECT REAL LIFE PERFORMANCE. IF YAMAHA MAKES A BIKE WITH SPECS OF D250, QUARTER LITRE SEGMENT WOULD GO UNCOMPETITIVE.
@@pravinmurthy It is tuned slightly on the stiffer side to help with brilliant handling. SF 250's handling is way much better than FZ25 and D250. You have to compensate a little on either comfort or handling to have the other one better.
i am a fan of Yamaha bikes but afraid to buy them. usage of plastic in bike too much, in case of any accident happen damage will be more to bike and rider too.

Despite the new looks of FZ25, its time in 250cc has passed away. There are much better options in the similar price range for 250cc streeet fighter/commuter. But I am interested the upcoming Yamaha 250cc ADV bike.
Where is the headlight for Yamaha? India is a place where you can sell shit. Don't buy Yamaha bikes. Yamaha treats India like a dumpyard. All the best bikes are sold in Indonesia and other markets. Get an Pulsar or an Apache or an Hero. Don't buy Yamaha.

Dominar 250 is better for touring, but you have to find a reliable service center first.
As of now, FZ25 is the most VFM in the segment.

I think the gixxer delivers best of both worlds. Power comparable to the dominar and lighter.
