Let's put it this way, if Eddie Cochran had lived and Elvis had done those films that would have probably destroyed his career Eddie Cochran was just too good to be let loose, he could sing, produce and overdub his own music plus he was writing his own songs something that Elvis never did, which was a shame.
He had a premonition of his own death the same as country music star Johnny Horton, both died from injuries caused by a car accident. Strange he died on Easter Sunday to top it off, his family and fans must have been deeply mourning. You can't get much more "real deal" than E.C. when it comes to rockabilly, he's the template.
He did have a premonition, so sad given how young he was. Speaking of Johnny Horton, we've been working on a video for him; it should be out early this coming week. Lots of talent was lost in the 60s.

Gene Vincent had his leg badly injured long before the carcrash ('55, I think). He broke it again there, but the worst injury was already there a couple of years before the carcrash. Thinking again I'm not sure if he broke his leg in the carcrash at all, maybe that's false as well. He broke some bones, though.
One of the London Police "Bobbies" attending the crash scene that day in 1960 was one David Dee, who, together with four friends who nicknamed themselves Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich, went on to have a string of hits in their own right on the Phonogram-owned Fontana label(in Britain, on the Philips label elsewhere, at least until 1968) from 1965 to 1969.
It was a tragedy but not mysterious. The cab driver was intoxicated and probably showing off a bit by driving too fast. He was sent to prison I believe and I think his name may have been the same as the Beatles producer George Martin

I just attended the Eddie Cochran Music Festival in Albert Lea Minnesota - his memory is still alive. Thank you to The White Sidewalls for their music from the golden years of Rock & Roll!
Gene Vincent had his leg badly injured long before the carcrash ('55, I think). He broke it again there, but the worst injury was already there a couple of years before the carcrash. Thinking again I'm not sure if he broke his leg in the carcrash at all, maybe that's false as well. He broke some bones, though.
he is one of my favorites :)
Thank you for watching our video. We really appreciate it!
Great video here. Thanks a bunch!
Thank you, John!
One of the London Police "Bobbies" attending the crash scene that day in 1960 was one David Dee, who, together with four friends who nicknamed themselves Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich, went on to have a string of hits in their own right on the Phonogram-owned Fontana label(in Britain, on the Philips label elsewhere, at least until 1968) from 1965 to 1969.
only just skimmed the surface of a great musician !
Happy 80th birthday Eddie Cochran!!!

Eddie Cochran a great musican n a great song writer I love his music summer time blues n come on every body Mark Durban S, A .
Why did they die so mysteriously and so young you have to think about that it’s a deep cosmic twist.
It was a tragedy but not mysterious. The cab driver was intoxicated and probably showing off a bit by driving too fast. He was sent to prison I believe and I think his name may have been the same as the Beatles producer George Martin
I read that the others went back by train ,but Eddie wanted to get back earlier.
true king of rock and roll

R.I.P. Eddie Cochran
As of today, 89 dislikes. WTF?????
I was told and read that Eddie Cochran was born and raised in Oklahoma. He even said it as such, himself, in an interview that I personally saw.
So many died so young . They skipped his Oklahoma days where he really blossomed.
