Great review! Nice work. Loved the drone flyover at the start of the driving section. Favorite part was when you showed the Lane Follow Assist @18:20. That is super compelling. You should ask your dealership to buy you a copy of PowerDirector so you don't have that watermark in the bottom right corner ;)
In Florida. Test drove middle version two days ago I watched 20+ videos before test. It is very hard to find the blue luxury version. The drive is AMAZING! Big but does not drive like a big car. Worth every penny.
Great Review. Answered most of my questions. Only review I am waiting for now is to see the LED head lights at night on a dark road for low beam and high beam.
Thanks! I don't know if I'll find time to do that for you. But, as this vehicle has earned a top safety pick *plus from the IIHS, then you can bet the headlights are great. And I can attest that they indeed are very very good.
20" ... The noise was likely due to my phone being squished between the seat and the headrest. Just a little transfer of vibration. Honestly, this vehicle is super quiet.
Great review, very informative and the video was ample even if you used phone camera. Quick question, does the Palisade have auto (power) folding exterior mirrors (like the Telluride), if so at what trim? Thanks
Oddly, no, it does not seem to be an available option. I don't see it in the brochure anywhere, but I also haven't seen the Ultimate trim in person yet.
I see in some videos showing blind spot in the left screen for left turn and on the right side for the right turn. In your video it's in the middle screen. Is there an option where to show or depending on wich trim?
Yes, this one is the Luxury trim, which only has the single smaller screen between the speedometer and tachometer. I believe you've seen the Ultimate trim with its large 12" screen that replaces the analogue instrument cluster.
Is the glove box not lockable? Telluride has lockable glove box and my 17 sonata has one. This is really a place where Hyundai should not go cheap with. F150 even have lockable center console
No lock... But really, It make sense to cut costs, and what better way to do it then eliminate something very very few people use? That's just my opinion though. I respect your opinion. 😀
@@edsgarage001 Oh really? Oh well, I'm pretty sure there is an Essential trim in Canada as I live here and I checked these 2 websites, Autotrader and Driving.ca the Canadian trims were Essential, Preferred, Luxury and Ultimate. This is not the top of the line, there's one trim level above it called the ultimate. And that one has a double panel roof. One standard sun roof and one fixed panel sunroof
Ed, You may want to drive the 2016-2019 Toyota Highlander or any late model Honda accord, truck or Odyssey... The Highlander has a what they call Easy speak allowing you to speak to passengers in the rear ( had this feature for a long time) Honda has the turn camera (only right hand turns) but had it for a long time also just a few examples of not (really) new features. What Hyundai does best is hang back a bit and reverse engineer and then incorporate the best features from other brands... Not hating on Hyundai quite the opposite if its out there improve on it but these features are far new just bundled into one vehicle now and that's cool .
The title is a bit deceptive, as it might make people think this is the top model available. It certainly is not! The best model comes with many more features, like full Napa leather and rear captains' chairs that are heated and ventilated.
John, the trim level I'm reviewing is literally called luxury... How is it deceptive?? The title states that it is the Luxury model that I'm showing, which is precisely what it is.
@@edsgarage001 Sorry Ed. I didn't mean to imply you were actually trying to deceive people. But from the title, it seemed you were saying this is a luxury model, which it isn't. You should have spelled Luxury with a capital to indicate it's actually the model name. See? Grammar is important sometimes!
Tried to watch your video. Only made it a couple of minutes. What with your throwing your phone all over the place almost made me sick. Anyway. All the best.
@@edsgarage001 You seem to agree that's why my comment upsets you. I don't need to have videos to give you my perspective as a viewer. You mess up on setting up the video. I do not know if the North American specification solves the Evaporator problem. At present, white powder is blown from air conditioner of Korean car. White powder is a deadly toxic substance and if inhaled it could have an adverse effect on the elderly or the baby. Please make your purchase decision.

The air vents buttons in the ceiling are not for on/off. The button is to change from direct air flow down to a diffuser flowing in a circle.
